This will be Cougie who arranges to meet us all at the start, gets there late, runs far quicker than anyone else and then buggers off before we finish.
Dublin was fantastic, Clairster. Weather was much improved on last year and managed a PB (3.44) so very pleased. Plenty of forumites celebrating afterwards !
Thanks for tip off re: Wilmslow, always a good idea to enter that one early.
Cougie you old dog long time no speak. Ive just filled in app form also so will see you there mate, think Rosey is entering also so might go for a ride first so let me know if you fancy it.
Incidently Cougs, doing a race on Sunday called Flying Fox (with Ironrose). Its a 10 mile undulating course in Stone, Staffordshire. Plan is to ride down Sunday morning (race day) and go straight into the run if you fancy it. (the ride is approx 55-60 miles but we can get a lift back). Cheers, Birdman
Benidorm in three weeks Clairster ! Its an organised running tour but I'm treating it as more of a running holiday whereas I had some unfinished business with Dublin after a disappointing run/walk last year.
After that Stockport 10 then Helsby.Hope the weather is kind to us all.
Cougs, No worries mate just give me a call if your up for getting out on the bike one weekend as I,m back in full training mode now and will be doing Lanzarote in May, so if you havent entered anything yet why not join us (about 8 of us so far).
Andy - sounds fab, you will be flying round Stockport then! i did holmfirth on sunday, lovely race and got Guy Fawkes this weekend whihc is going to be hilly. nothing compared to your distances though!
Hi Andy! It was just the other side of Harrogate. Very hilly 10miler, with some great downhills..makes Macc look like a walk in the park! The wind was mental yesterday as well and didnt help, but it is a great course nevertheless.
Glad you enjoyed it Claire although it sounded a tough one especially with the wind.
There are just so many interesting sounding races around but its impossible (physically and financially) to do them all.I might have to drop one or two old favourites (even Wilmslow)next year to fit some new ones in !
Andy - there are too many great races around, it is an absolute trauma deciding whihc one to do. have entered wilmslow but think it is the same weekend this year as trimpell 20 whihc could cause me a major dilema.
cougie - if you entered wilmslow twice, did you run it twice?

Rapidly coming to the conclusion that I'm not cut out for anything over 10 miles. Am going to do this one and the Coniston 14, and if I can't crack 2 hours for the HalfMara I'm going to give it up as a bad job, and stick to 10-Milers...

Daz - well done on the derwentwater 10 sounds fab. yes the weekend of the FG is mental, as are most weekends..work getting in the way and also have some of my group running at Salford. i am still trying to work out if i can factor in the FG somewhere along the line.
Latest entry list is up. They're up to 1300 entrants already (I think the limit is 2000), they've corrected the spelling of my name (hoorah!), but not the spelling "Unaffilated"!
P.S. I'm finally on the list - no. 563.I think they rejig the numbers on the list when they add new names. i.e. you need to recheck the whole list and not just the new numbers to see if you've been added.
I may of course have got this all wrong and just missed my name first time around !
Theyve definitely reserved a few numbers anyway...andy norman and paul freary are looking like the two favourites to me at the moment! theyve changed my club name for me aswell...

Should be up for the ride before 4 Villages. Dunno about this Sunday though, er, I'm probably washing my hair or something.
