going to see someone who is into( reike )healing. has anyone heard of any success with this type of treatment. I'm willing to try anything within reason to get me back on the road.
have had a groin injury for the past 18months, as I work from home the company wont have me back till im fixed, so its knacked me all round. had all the usual treatment, trying for a cut and fix (private) if i can. maybe I could enter a three leggered race, any takers????
yep, seem a life time, down to swimming most days now. i do miss the buzz from racing and training, never had any probs till i did this, it happened at work just to rub it in. tears in my eyes;0(
Reiki is a form of healing, originating from Japan. The word actually means Universal Life Force Energy. During a treatment a reiki practitioner will channel energy into a person to aid the body's natural healing process; this is done by laying on hands at significant points on your body As it's holistic, the energy will go where it is needed most.
If your energy levels are low, this may be a cause of slow healing therefore upping your energy levels will stimulate the body's healing process.
Many people feel deeply relaxed after a treatment and often fall asleep during it.
Let me know if want any more info or even a treatment.
One of my colleagues is a reiki practitioner and swears by it. I know people she's treated have found it beneficial. I'd recommend giving it a go Martin - nothing ventured as they say!
I used to have it regularly and did a 1st level course some years ago -never practiced it tho
I used to find the sessions very relaxing but wasnt looking to heal anything specifically - i was however with hindight very stressed , exhausted and depressed and it really helped me get thru that at the time
Hi there folksies, (specially martin) I am a reiki practitioner (level 3), martin, if you like i can send reiki to you ! (bizzare isn't it) just let me know you age and location, the universe will do the rest!
tks guys, I'll phone the reiki girl tomorrow afer my early morning swim, followed by physio, surely if I have reiki on top of that I'll be firing on all plugs. will let u know how I go on. I'm very interested about the outcome.
Reiki is not diagnostic, it is however complementary. Feel free to see a doctor, Martin, or a chiro, oestopath, whatever, but reiki will certainly aid your healing.
Twig and I could give you a double dose of distant healing.
Fat Face was sceptical of this type of healing before I gave him reiki. I'm sure he'll happily tell of the benefits he's felt.
and for the full complementary experience check your stars first to make sure your in a positive phase and don't forget to move your furniture around to get the best feng shui benefits
Reiki helped me at a very emotional time in my life, but without realising until a while afterwards, it also helped me get over fear of take off and landing when flying, and I haven't had any ear problems since having reiki.
zero, seen lots of docs nhs/ private they have'n been helpful at all. just tell me to stop racing/training ive been competing since i was 11, will try anything.
t2, take it then level 3 is the highest, I think this friend started after being ill herself. she's been doing it for 2 years. her husband use to have back problems but says its great now, he's been running for years with this back prob.
i know the NHS sometimes use it Sezz, mores the pity. If it works as a placebo then fair enough but i just feel people are taken advantage of when they are desperate for a cure
zero, this girl is doing it for free so Ill see what happens. sound nice to feel sleepy because im usually the one that seems not to need too much of that, since being laid up ive got energy coming out of my ears. need a good endurance event to clear that out.

Reiki is good for restoring/balencing enrgy levels; it helps me keep going especially at the mo when I'm on big shifts.
Let us know how your treatment goes.

When i have used it(outwith my normal job) it has helped people
i dont think it is a magic cure
but it may help with chronic tension and pain
Reiki is being used more and more in the NHS these days.
good luck martin
