You're right Tracey. She's got a lot to do to convince me that the journey and all the hard work is worth it, bearing in mind that she was so horrible in 2011 that MiL won't go there again so will have to leave her at home on her own with no one to look out for her. At least my mum does have carers and neighbours in place to look after her.
Had planned a run yesterday, but when I went out to do some shopping I nearly got blown over. $od that for a game of soldiers and it's worse today
Ah well, there's always tomorrow. Glad I'm not training for a spring marathon
km10 - two of my grandchildren are 1 year 24 days apart and it was great looking after them together. The one year old (boy) was a proper little fuss pot of his little sister and they were the 6th and 7th of EIGHT!!!! (but the older four were 9 - 13 years older - that's right four in four years!!!!!) Have fun
Tracey, Yeah i'm sure it will be hard work, even though our little girl is great, no problem whatsoever, apart from the teething, lol
Blimey LyndyLou, not panning on having 4 in 4 yrs, 2 in 2 will be fine for now i'm sure lol. Every time our little girl see's a baby, she smiles and chats to them, in her own way lol
Ah, babies. Think I might be ready to be a grandma. Hope you're feeling a little or even a whole lot better Roobs. Great running going on there Tracey. Blimey. Managed a couple of runs at the weekend; on Sunday we ran along Worthing seafront, watching the kite surfers and had a coffee at the wonderful Bluebird cafe. Not enjoying this January weather. I'm a bit of a wimp.
I am still feeling quite pooh But I have discovered that sometimes the side effects of radiotherapy resurface months and sometimes years after treatment finishes I am feeling just like I was when I was going through treatment; tired, nauseous and bad stomach and I keep feeling very cold But I have been in touch with the Pelvic Radiation Disease Association who have recommended that I try to get a referral to see a doctor at the Marsden who specialises in treating this. Trouble is that he is the only doctor in the country for this and he gets around 500 new referrals a year. Could be a long wait
Roobs - I relaly hope you can get a referral or some alternative help.
Sorry for being around much. As some of you know my father died last weekend, it has been a difficult week.
I haven't run this week and actually not for the last three weeks because of shin splint type pain. I will probably have to pull out of Brighton I just don't think my body is up to marathons any more
Sorry about your dad MWW. You're having a rough few years aren't you? Blimey, life can be tough at times! If you don't think you'll make Brighton, set yourself another goal in the next few weeks, so you can keep motivated. Hark at me, I haven't entered any races this year. Lazy bones.
Lovely run along Worthing seafront this morning in the sunshine. Sun felt quite warm on my face. Temperature has dropped tonight though and we've now got a log fire roaring away. Love Saturday nights in.
Well done KM10. Good going. You're well on your way now. I'm not doing a marathon this year but I've run 7 over the past few years including London 3 times. Never made it under 5 hours though. Last year was 5 hours and 46 seconds and a couple of years before that 5 hours and 40 seconds. I must have a steady pace! Everyone on here has done loads of marathons, especially Roobs and Tracey!

Hope it's still plain sailing up there Lyndy
Tracey - I'll see how I'm feeling this week before I decide on club
Home And it wasn't too bad at all Perhaps she's learned her lesson

Hello all
Roobs - I relaly hope you can get a referral or some alternative help.

So sorry MWW
Done my longest run i've ever done today, 14.4 miles in 2h 44m, legs were suffering bit near the end, but feeling ok after some food and a hot bath
Got my long run of 15 miles tomorrow Not looking forward to it.
Thanks LTS, that must have been a little frustrating with being seconds over the 5 hours.
Thanks Tracey, and good luck with your 15, hope not as windy as it is here
