Thought there was alot of bikes about, not being from around those parts i thought it may have been normal. I'm normally lucky to see more than 1 other cyclist round here.
Well I got some goggles at the Tri show yesterday which made me go faster in the pool today was nice to be able to try some on for a change and get ones which suited me
.........and I bought some Newtons, which are well bouncy and got some freebie samples of the new USN electrolyte drink they'll be using at Henley (the 'tropical' flavour is not too bad)
Swim this afternoon, 1750m in 46 minutes, including stoppage time for nasty cramp in my foot - OUCH. Was going to run afterwards, but have had a re-shuffle and moved it to another day. Hubby on holiday for 2 weeks so I have lots of flexibility as to what training I do on which days .
That's the plan Melds. Two shorter rides and one long one each week, but probably longer than I had originally planned, since I have the luxury of time.
The foam roller arrived today. Am I doing something wrong, or is it suppoed to make me cry?
Runningfeet - Blackminster half is a nice event - I've done it quite a few times. Flat, although a few undulations - the ones I remember are a bit of a drag at about 5 miles and then a particularly nasty incline right at the end of the 6 mile loopy-loop which always catches me out, and you get to do it twice. Also it's over distance - you go straight past the last marker and think you've finished but there's still 100m or so to go. The thing that always amazes me is how fast the leaders are going - the speed us mere mortals run means we're bound to be lapped usually midway through the first 6 mile loopy...you here them it coming up behind you and then they zoom past at some speed. www.d2ride.co.ukZolaP - Good going at Kidderminster. Did you see Wiggins and Froome apparently they were in the crowd. Half way round we thought you would cave in but you looked full of beans in the home straight. Coolio. www.d2ride.co.uk
Did a 5k time trial with running club last night, didn't get to do one at the end of last season so was not sure what to expect with all the low heart rate training that's been done this year to date. It was on a running track so perfect conditions, but broke the 20 mins so really chuffed. 18:43 - very suprised
Doing a DIY olympic distance tom with some of the RC should be fun.

Well done hitting your training target Tim, back on it
Probably....Gladys and FF, maybe TheEngineer. They were round that way doing a Tri show sportive.
Gladys spent most of his time at the side of the road looking at his bike I think
Well, managed to get out of bed for the first session on my IM training program ... now just need to keep it up for the next 20 weeks
He did mention that!
I wonder if he managed to find any inner tubes for sale at TCR? I was after some.

Mr Frag has man-flu so I'll have to juggle a few of my planned sessions this week, but hopefully it'll work out ok
Sounds like a good two weeks coming up then Nursey .... get out on that bike !!
I spy sunshine! There's even a hint of warmth on the breeze.
I see it's supposed to be snowing again come the weekend

Glorious day here but very frosty overnight, so bike and run will be done this afternoon once the roads have warmed up.
