Runners World have said that there is limited parking for this run on Sunday and car sharing might help.
I will be driving from Datchet so anyone who needs a lift (can take 3)from the Windsor area can come along with me.
In this crazy world we live in I know people ( ladies especially) are wary and right to be so, however if need be we can leave from my home (you park here) Wife, children and mad dog all will greet you (yes even at the stupid time we will have to leave).
I think I am going to have to be a sad old bird snoop. Feeling and looking dreadful today so going to crash at home and hopefully revive myself for Sunday.
Looking forward to some summer socials when I am not marathon training!
I know a bit late notice...but I am wondering if anyone has 2 seats available to Richmond Park for this Sundays run? We live in the Clapham Junction area.
could pick you up from richmond station if thats any help? I am staying at a friends nearby but I think I have to go past the station to get to richmond gate
I'm gonna cycle a couple of miles to Broomfield Hill as they're saying car parking space is limited. They're also saying that baggage storage is limited, so maybe I could stow a coat and small bag in someones car for the duration ?? ....anyone want a ride on my crossbar....?
....i'm starting in the 10.30 group so hopefully I'll be finishing in it as well - but your boot would be appreciated, and I will have packed my own bag etc, etc, with non-explosive items...
No worries - I'll be wearing bright red wooly hat, hovering by a renault clio so give me a shout or find me at the start - tall blonde, probably half asleep looking!
severe weather warnings now. snow and blizzards............. i think we'll be hoping for marshalls that resemble st. bernard dogs carrying little flasks of brandy around their necks. i think i'll be spiking my lucozade with brandy anyway.............
Hi I can see there's lots of offers of lifts going on, unfortunately not in my area. I know we have alot a runners in the Hillingdon area, if anyone out there can give me a lift on Sunday I would be very grateful. I'm in Ruislip, the tube may get me there in time for the second lap...not much use!! Can anyone help, if not I'll be doing 15 cold miles in solitude...Please????
We may be okay (??!!), weather forcast below suggests while it will be cold (0-2 Celsius at 8 am) and a northerly wind (10 mph) will add to wind chill, it suggests it will be dry until 3 pm... lets hope they are right
So was that actually 15 miles? If so our pacers were a little on the keen side... I left them with about two to three miles to go and finished under 1:50... only finishing a few minutes ahead of them
Comments
I'm leaving from Teddington on Sunday morning so if anyone would like a lift who lives vaguely close then let me know as soon as.
