If anyone is after cheap flights to Dublin may I suggest Bmibaby, I have just booked 3 tickets flying out Saturday 23rd, coming back Monday evening from East Midlands at a cost of £23.79 per ticket, and most of that is tax. As to whether I will actually enter the Marathon is a decision I will leave until after I do Edinburgh in June. It doesn't look from reading the Dublin Marathon Website that it is too difficult to get in, not like London or New York.
Oh my goodness, I've done it....I've entered....... My first 26.2 ! ! I'm terrified already and the serious training and weightloss starts first thing tomorrow. For tonight I'm going to finish the red wine.....
New List.....

I'll be in Dublin, cant wait!! did it in 2002, it was tough that year, but I hope they keep the same course as last year for 2004! they did it the other way round, to save that climb into pheonix park.
What is everyone expected times?

If I break 3 at FLM I will go to Dublin for the Guiness, so Dublin may be 3:30.
Muzza and co - am aiming for sub 3 as well depending on training and recovery from current injury. Now that the flights, hotel etc are booked I will be in Dublin whatever with or without injury - looking forward to the guiness binge!!! Good luck at the FLM.
Tried to enter via Active Europe but they don't take Switch only credit cards of which I don't own. What a pain. Will need to enter by other means. Off to check the flights as accommodation all booked.
Discovered that but Snails Pace, VFR and I have booked a self catering apartment in Temple Bar area at a good price. Flights are going quick. I had hoped to get one from Edinburgh to Dublin on the Sunday morning but there isn't one till 2pm which doesn't leave much time to register. Think best bet will be to fly to Gatwick and stay with Snails Pace and fly Gatwick - Dublin and back Dublin - Edinburgh. Thinks I need to organise this asap. How safe is delaying the entry as I will need to send for an entry form instead of on line now?
Last year you could enter very close to the date of the event.....I don't think it realy gets full as such, just they need to close the entries down at some point.

Good luck at the FLM.
....will we be running past the Guiness brewery?.... Don't think that would be a good idea...we might miss a few marathoners that way...lol
