Toucan - I would have liked to have attempted the Leicester full one, enjoyed the half even though it is tough - apparently the full is very lonely! I have looked on the FLM web page and it does seem that it is possible - nice to know in case I decide to do another FLM.
Anyone fancy being challenged to a crutches race?? Just emptied the 2nd mug of tea this week over the floor!!Tea and crutches just do not go together!!!
From what I've heard they still haven't finalised the course yet for the full leicester. It's definitely not starting in mallory park so I think that removes at least one of the hills.
Hi Nellie, sorry to hear about your crutches and tea. Last year I made tea in a beaker with a screw top if that's any help! Hope you get off your crutches soon.
oooohhhh Hipp...sorry to hear you're in pain. Perhaps another marathon will get all the kinks out... Scotland?...next May?... Can't.. I'm running Big Sur in April, and the rest of my holiday time is scheduled out. Hope to get to Scotland in 2006...any marathon suggestions for the Spring? I was thinking maybe Lochaber (think eye spelt tat wrung... /..or did eye?)
It's now March and I never received a certificate. I can only assume that means there isn't one.
Very disappointed if that is the case, as I've framed my certificate, photo and medal for all of my previous marathons. It never occured to me that Dublin wasn't big enough to issue certificates.
Mackem - why not do your own on your PC, or ring the marathon office and ask if they can do one for you. Lots of peeps aren't bothered with certificates.
I haven't got enough wall space to frame certificates for all my marathons!
Yes 2004! Sorry to resurect this ancient thread, but since 2004 was the last year that Dublin did not issue certificates, I finally got round to making my own, and I'm pretty pleased with how believable it looks.
It's in powerpoint, so if anyone wants it email me and you'll be able to customise it. You may have to play around with the tints and you'll need to forge the race director's sig - it's in the race programme.
