Shamb - hiya, yes it is good to get back out there, but I think an hour of yoga is on order tonight, I have a muscle/ tendon in my hip that doesn't know what hit it, (apart from the fact I started my run thinking I was a gazelle and finished it more like a lion mauled wilder beast!!!) Anyway - hows the instructor training going?
2T- honestly, we can't leave you alone for 5 mins. Are we talking motor bike or peddle power? What happened? I have to agree with Shamb, you must have hollow legs.
Oh yeh and it's nearly christmas, how cool is that - sorry I'm a total Xmas junkie.
Bicycling along at 20mph I hit a patch of black ice while trying to turn and got rather friendly with the tarmac. Could've been worse - there's another section of that route that I do at about 35mph, and it always has traffic.
Bottomless pit eh - you'll like this. Had 10 weetabix, frozen fruit a yoghurt and a pint of milk over it all for breakfast today, and I was hungry by 8 oclock again.
Still absolutely hank marvin after it as well. I reckon I could easily double that and still not be stuffed. As you said - hollow legs. I'm officially the extended family meal out garbage disposal unit. All uneaten stuff goes to me.
Nup - it's mostly better anyway. The large scab is threatening to rip off and take half of my arm with it, but the muscle pain's almost better. 20 miles today, it'd better be.
Dooz - well done on the hills! OUCH! I'm fine, ta. Just a little sore from my course this week - we're doing advanced gym training and we were experimenting with different methods of sets/reps......so I'm suffering with DOMS ar the mo!
20 miler was running. Haven't got out much on the bike due to the cruddy weather and my lack of will. Had a lurvely 18 miler on saturday - head to toe in mud at the end of it, and had to run through city centre to get home. A lot of wierd looks and smiles
Shamb, you're sore from experimenting with Dom's? Now that sounds like my kinda course!
HI Shamb - glad to hear you're enjoying yourself!! But as I'm still a freshman when it comes to abreviations - what does DOMS mean (sorry having one of those days it's probably obvious)
2T - you'll like this bit. Just got back from a very chilly run and about to settle down to a ham and cheese ciabatta (hot off the Forman grill) followed by sticky toffee pud and devon custard.... 7th heaven.
MMmmmmmmmmm...... No, I WILL resist. Had a very bad couple of days for food. Packet of choccie digestives set a personal best for dissapearing of under 2 minutes. Naughty me.
Hi Chaps, germ here. Yep I caught yet another bl**dy cold. So far I've got Laringitus (I have no idea how to spell it), full on cold and the cough from hell. But look on the bright side, it's nearly Christmas, and I don't have to talk on the phone at work!!!
2T - well impressed at the time matey, but before you get a medal, are we talking family pack? or just grab pack?
Used to eat the sponge seperately from the orangey bit, now I can't stuff em in my mouth fast enough. Oreos have a very short shelf life round my bit as well. I'm just lucky I can't find any shops that do em.
Ahhhhh, sore muscles. Have you anything to cure falling asleep at a desk despite the full 7 hours the night before? I've just had a lovely kip, but was caught out by having 'keyboard face'.
2T - Sainsbury's sell em - My other half loves them, but not as much as the choc fudge ones you get in the States.
Hi Shamb, thanks for the explanation. Gald to hear from you.
Haven't run for over a week now, starting to hallucinate about it, but can't risk getting bad throat again just yet. Look out world next Tues, I'll be back.....
Hiya 2T - sorry for the late reply, finally better, no more lurgy , just in time for lots of Xmas overtime at work. Don't worry about the Marines, just take it one step at a time and we'll be here for support. When do you start training?
I find that chocolate is a great support in times of stress....
Which means only 7 until I fly home. WOOHOO! I start training for the royals after the longest day. Don't worry - I'm not that freaked out now, I was just having an odd day. Glad to hear you're feeling better. Been doing any running?

Oh yeh, managed my first hilly 4 miler on thursday (trust ne we have big hills in north wales!) Legs just about recovered.
Shamb - you ok?
