On the website, it says, "Full results will be posted on the web site and in the local press within 2 days of the race." Well, bearing in mind that the last runner had to complete in 6.5 hours, their "within 2 days" is officially over. Reading through this thread I know I'm not the only one to be seething about the rubbish results service. It's not even as though there were that many competitors.
I have to say if I were not local this would pi$$ me off immensely, I hate not knowing. Happy to look anyone up, sorry to keep you hanging this afternoon
katypie you are an absolute star!! If ever you come to Essex I will buy you the HUGEST drink. I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever race, the atmosphere, the marshalls, the crowds etc and now, to cap it all, I have a personal best of 4.32.34!!! Oh my gawd I'm a marathon runner...........someone wipe this stupid grin off my face!!!
Katypie - if you're not going nuts by now, would you mind looking up my time? I was number 2970, came in at about the 4 hours mark and name is Nicola Midgley.
Thanks - run the Brass Monkey half in York and I'll be cheering you on!
Hi Glor - I posted good luck wishes both here and in NYC but I don't think you saw them and your email is not enabled. Very well done though superstar!
Nice pic' Mick Rice....very serious indeed..or is that focussed on the task ahead?!
Peaceman...it surprised me too as I read yesterday that there was an expected 6000 for the full marathon and 5000 for the relays. I thought the original 11000 was for the full marathon.
If anyone heard a numpty running around witha pocket full of change that was me, sorry. Bought some sweets before, put the change in my pocket and the sweetes in a bag. damned annoying all the way round, but on the positive side my kids enjoyed the sweets when i got them back at the end. Managed to drag myself to new found pain in 3:35, am hoping to be able to walk downstairs forwards soon. RB
