Having a bit of a wobble since I realised my traing plan was two weeks askew for my planned marathon, so I'm a tad under-prepared all of a sudeden, when I thought I was spot on - doh!
Scilab - I wear Saucony Grid Omni 4 too, I'm about to wear out my third pair - like XL says, if it ain't broke... managed to pick up two pairs really cheap on a trip to the USA in Feb. Maybe I should pursuade hubby we need another holiday, and it would save me a few quid on a new pair! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you manage to get them for?
Sudden, I mean - appear to be stuttering as well now....
Does anyone know how to skip though the lost and found piccys on ASI - I got up to about 800 yesterday and had to stop, now I can't seem to get past one page at a time and they take an age to load before you can click on the "next" button...
RM hi - I got my new trainers for £63.99 including delivery - from treadbear.co.uk. can't seem to find them any cheaper than this - I've searched and searched! Delivery is within 5 days - so they say, but I'll let you know - never used this site before, so they're an unknown for me.
Went out for a quick bike ride this afternoon - lovely sunny and warm, so ideal. Still haven't run - I'm going to stop saying I will, cos I feel a bit of a let down on here with the rest of you still running like mad!! Won't get out tomorrow either unless I go at some ungodly hour in the morning, and that just aint gonna happen!
Found you all! Treated myself to a new pair of trainers on Thursday. Had a gait analysis done and it turns out my old pair were a size too small - finally I've got to the bottom of my 'numb feet' syndrome! No more will I run on a pair of fuzzy stumps - hooray! Got a pair of Saucony Trigon3's and can't wait to get out on the roads in them. Haven't managed to find a spare hour yet, but I'm thinking of setting the alarm an hour early tomorrow morning to get out there...v excited!
Scilab - if you are spending £64 on a pair of trainers I hope you are going to use them!
Go out first of all for just a couple of miles - take it easy and enjoy it!!
Have been watching the video of the programme from last week - I really want the music that they played when they were showing the text messages....the rappy one written by Alan Clarke from Dire Straits - does anyone know where I can get a copy - want it on my MP3.
Mandie - yes, course I am!! I'm just in a prolonged resting period following last week's exertion! You try running a half, teaching all week, running round after an 8 and 6 year old at home and getting time to rest sufficently so that I can run again without hurting! Tut!! Am not running tomorrow as I have a full day at work, then a meeting, then a music lesson till 9pm, then marking and planning for the next day at work. Would like to talk to my children as well at some point.
scilab-dont give me that teachers work hard bull, bloody 2 hour days, 65 weeks a year holiday wearing hippy clothes, its not a job its a bloody skive your just abunch of overgrown students
*wanderer hiding behind sofa while scilab searches for something hard to throw at me
Mandie - wasn't having a go - I've just read my post back and I sound like a real whinger - sorry! I will get out there again - and soon - I'm missing it!
This just isn't fair. My next door neighbour decided to run the GNR after much protest, then with me shouting at her like some mad army coach she got over the finish line 2 seconds before me, 8 places ahead of me, AND she's got two pics on asiphotos! I've found one of me (by searching around her pic numbers) but am trying to find one when I had less pain on my face! But the site keeps crashing....
Maybe I'll get a pic at the GSR in two weeks time...my luck must change sometime soon, mustn't it?!
So these new trainers. I reckon you should pencil in a three miler round your favourite route for next Saturday. My bet is you'll be itching to get out there by then.

I wasn't caught with a visible number and the site is so slow Ive got fed up trying to wade through the thousands of "lost and founds"
sometimes it's loads faster than others. But it's going to be a long job.
