That's what I call dedication!! I may get out on a training session by the friday after the marathon but don't intend to push it too hard. A friend ran FLM this year with a dodgy hip and she is still suffering a bit now. Don't want to find myself in that situation, need to be fit enough to carry my rucksack round Australasia!
Stu, did you run this evening? I do admire your dedication. I think running can be addictive, but I don't think I am, as instead of going for a run this evening, I worked my way through a pile of choccie biscuits (well you can if you exercise!) and vegged out.
NN - hope your aches are recovering and Neil, hope you're feeling better too.
Am aiming to run 6-8 miles in the morning - got to work off those biccies!
Jo didn't run last night in the end, just went for a sauna and steam (bad day and needed to destress).
Not intending to run now before this sunday when I do Frinton half marathon. Out tonight for beers and if today is as bad as yesterday will probably end up getting slaughtered - not good a couple of days before a race but.......!!
Hadn't noticed your bad spelling until you pointed it out!!
Suffering a bit today then eh?? I am lucky enough not to suffer from hangovers, just from lack of sleep. Despite my intended heavy session tonight am meeting friends at 9.15am tomorrow so little sleep for me. Will have a nice early night tomorrow night!
In reply to your question I haven't got an exact figure for entries at the moment and we get a lot of entries on the day so it is hard to predict a total number. However, entries this year seem to be in keeping with previous years and I would imagine somewhere around the 150-200 mark would be a ballpark figure for the moment.
Hiya, thats good, lets hope it is a nice day again like in 98 when I ran it, I have spoken to several club mates that said they may run if its a nice day.
NN - sounds like you had fun last night - hope you're feeling a bit better this afternoon - another drink will make you feel much better! Glad you mentioned the massage - must book mine for the day after.
Stu - hope you're feeling less stressed today and that you enjoy your night out.
Got my run in this morning - about 7 miles in the forest - loads of those yukky catapiller things again, but apart from that, it was lovely to be out. Won't run again until Sunday, then one more run during the week before our big day - will be great to meet you all.
Right, I'm off to do some errands - catch you later.
just got back from a pub lunch!! Four large glasses or red wine and a vodka.
Jo , my day isawful. Do you kone how stressful it is to sell a house when you have a deadline of the 6th June. Due to fly ot Oz on the 8thand think I will have to delay now - NOT HAPPY!!!!!
my prep for Halstead is sorted and looking forward to it. Team all confirmed. Do you think we will be the first team to finish??!!!!
Sudbury is quite near Cavendish too, but still about 8 miles from there too. There are some nice runs once we get out of town and away from the traffic.
I dont know, it depends who turns up, I am hoping for sub 3:00, another guy is going for 3:10, the third person was doubtful but I would expect about 3:30, then there were another 2 possibles, they would do about 4:00 I would guess.
Stu - can understand why you're not a happy chappy. Are you moving to Aus permanently, or is this part of a trip you have planned? How can you break up our little gang at a time like this!
Does anyone know if there's a facility for forum junkies to get some therapy? I seem to have become addicted.

On the Tuesday night it is the second of the Harwich 5km Handicap races, and just to finish would be good enough to make it worthwhile!
Then on the Friday night is Kirton 5, the first in the Friday 5s series.
Then on the Sunday is the Ipswich 5, our own club race, so no rest for me!

No more drink now until the afternoon of the 18th, thank god!
I am sure you answered this before, but are you local to Halstead?
NN
Nope, we're not local to Halstead and will be driving up from Chigwell - no jokes please! Is Sudbury far from Halstead?
Jo
Sudbury is only about 8 miles away so its ideal for me. ok, no jokes!

Well last year Orion Harriers first 3 came in at 2:55, 3:03, and 3:17, so you just need to beat those times
I just got back from lunch too, but no alcohol today!
