Tracey Your Serpie 5k PB is 27:39 I think. The new tables give you an age graded of 56.2%
Bernard will have to run 24:51 to be EXACTLY as good as you! Of course you will do better so He will have to do better than that too! I LOVE age graded because it means I can beat my OH even though it woud seem I am slower...
So my 27:22 - 64.3%, beats Mr. Sh's 23:17 - 60.4%
HA!
Not that I am HAPPY with 27:22. This thread wouldn't exist if I was. I am the slowest FV 50 in my club. :-(
Except over 100m! :-) I bring that little nugget up with monotonous regularity just to cheer myself up. Pathetic really.
Cannot run tomorrow or Sunday. Bernard is working in the day time. Andre carer text me to say she can only have him until 12:30am, so no run after Kierrah's french lessons.
Total mileage this week 8. Better than last weeks 5k.
What can I do wiv me hair? It was long for years - see small photo - then a couple of years ago I had it cut very short, which would be ideal for running but I am too idle and too mean to go with the expensive upkeep (haircut every 6 weeks) So it has just grown again. I keep hacking at my fringe when vision becomes too blurred to cope with, but running and especially races now demand a sprinkling of hairclips and a tight pony tail. mmmm so attractive.
I suppose the sweaty ponytail is good enough for the sainted Paula....
In fact severe crops (think Belsen I'm afraid in many cases) or sweaty pony tails seem to be de rigeur for the serious lady athlete...
I can't do it! I have to have a fringe or I look like a Mekon! I look hideous enough already in my race pics. Perhaps a bag over the head would be the best solution. It could be made of wicking material.
Espresso time!
PS this is purely rhetorical. But I must get a proper haircut soon.

When Bernard did that run 2 years ago, he could not get out of bed the next day.
I will definitely cheer Kierrah on - I'm looking forward to meeting her.
Just sub 26 - 25:55 to be exact, will give you 60% About a minute and a half quicker. You can do it this year - your club runs tell you that.

How was your rubbed down?
but NEEDLES were stuck in me too
Did the needles hurt?
but they were quite long
I had one in my thigh
then one in each hand and one in each foot(this is relaxing apparently)
the pain has now settled in my left leg
we shall see tomorrow
the test will be a run
my post wasnt very clear-i mean the pian is CONCENTRATED in my left leg now
anyway-nuff of the whinjury
I will have to decide when my next attack is on the 5K
Hope the newly concentrated pain flies off into the wide blue yonder by morning.
Tracey - LOL to Bernard running in his boots!
sharkie - where can I look up the new age gradings?
Soothing sleep vibes to all... I'm trying for an early night and an early long run.
Well I cock it up a bit. I sent our entries without the cheque. So I sent Malcolm and email and posted the cheque separately.
