I'm so grateful for you all. This is just a quick post for me tonight but I had a great day food wise. Exercise starts tomorrow...
Breakfast: Oatmeal with wheatgerm and an apple
Lunch: tapas butter beans with baby clams, frozen vegies, 1.5 small pitas, 2 mandarins
No dinner as lunch was my main meal of the day - love to eat like this! I'm a little peckish but certainly not starving and I'll look forward to waking up with that empty stomach feeling tomorrow.
Well done LE! Soooo healthy. I'm only easing my way into it. Very gradually. I would be careful not to eat too little either though. See a lot of recommendations for 3 meals/2 snacks. Little and often to keep the metabolism chugging away! Plus, never feel deprived
I find stopping myself wanting to snack is a big key. Got the munchies tonight - not sure why as I think I've eaten more than I did yesterday and haven't exercised
I've started having stewed apple for brekkie with my fruit and fibre which is really tasty and seems to keep the hunger pangs at bay until lunchtime
Evening when I get home is my bad time for snack attacks. May have to sit on my hands for the next few days. Apparently it takes 21 days for a new activity/thought process to become a habit, so if we can all stick to our plans for 3 itty bitty weeks we'll be eating better and training more unconsciously and automatically!
I'm just going to make lots of tasty soup to snack on whenever the munchies strike..(*tootles off to the kitchen to distribute the last of the haagan daaz....looking forward to a healthier tomorrow!!*)
Need to go shopping before I can really get started properly. Get stocked up on healthy food. Haven't got much food of any description in the flat.
Snack-wise I either go for low-fat stuff (like Go Ahead biscuits and low fat crisps) and fruit/veg. When I last went on SW, I used to take carrots into work for my morning snack!
Well I didn't go far. Was just responding to a certain thread on General about the less fit people in gyms. Grrrr.
Anyhow, thanks for the kudos. I can assure you I'm not starving. Plus I didn't consume any energy today.
One of my favourite mottos is fail to plan = plan to fail. I can't cook at the moment because of a wrist injury so I have to make sure I get enough precut vegies, soups and fish tomorrow, oh and some almonds for snacks.
Oh last but not least, if you're looking for some fairly healthy crisp breads not sure you have seen these - I buy them in Waitrose. http://www.dr-karg.com/engstart.html
*whispers in teeny tiny voice*....I'll probably low carb for the first few weeks then start to up the carbs and lower the fat when the training ramps up....*dons fire proof suit!!*
