I never understand that. Cooking from scratch is easier than eating ready meals. And HEAPS healthier.
If you can't cook - why not grill some chicken, leave some rice on to boil and chop up some tomatoes? Well rounded meal that takes 15mins and is healthy and good for you
To me, there is absolutely nothing in any of "I can't cook" or "I don't have time" or "Ready meals are easier"
The other incredibly easy thing to do is to cook up a batch of stew or soup over the weekends and freeze them in individual little baggies in the freezer. You take them out every night and VOILA a home made meal where you know EVERYTHING that went into it.
Unless you've slaughtered it with your bare hands and butchered it yourself with a sharpened stone you're cheating.... and your kids will hate you for that!
Oh apparently if one has nothing nice to say one must remain quiet. I'm struggling with the "seen but not heard" motto, but I apologise profusely to you PO if you thought the analogy with Gordon Ramsey offensive.

I should kill Jamie Oliver and take his place...
Cooking from scratch - pah!

We had that on the farm - we grew, slaughtered and ate chooks.
I still eat them too
Cantona... that's the fella... didn't like his last album.
PO When I was on a survival course (military) I was unable to kill a fluffy bunny rabbit and had to live on dried worms for three days
I thought he was a racing driver?
You could never offend me.
What numpty is making you do this?
Nothing wrong with worms
I like worms
dead preferably
Is it dead?
I may kill it if it suddenly leaps up and tries to get my nose
Does it lose it's flavour quite quickly though?
Or can it go on for a while?
