Well of course I COULD do the long (is Ben, and if so, how come his name is not down for IMR yet?!), but 45 miles and a run off it is much better Ballbuster training, and I need to limit the amount of time I am already going to be chicked by (again!) with some specific training.
I'm gonna go for the long and slow...wont be keeping up with Kanga and co! (subject to Mrs H keeping the bun in the oven until its well and truly done (3 days after the ride!)
Re IMR...it's a half for me next year me thinks....Bala maybe?...then if that goes well maybe a late spot at outlaw or something, otherwise it'll be 2012! I have a feeling my training may be some what (more) curtailed when said bun comes out of said oven!

I did Vitruvian 2-3 weeks after Nick was born 11 weeks prematurely Mrs K's parents had flown in to welcome Nick to the world, so I was surplus to requirements any way ....
Considering dropping down to the short as have just noticed (oops) that this is the day before the longest week of the year workwise, and that everything I've been doing for the last 5 months has been building towards, so kind of need to be on form.

Might need a Powercry (tm) before, during, and after the race then ? Sure the nice man will be handing out Mars bars again ....
Ok, in bad need of some HTFU so have signed up. For the medium. Though if I dont finish too far behind Henny I will do the brick. But I suspect she'll be long gone!!
Lol, am signed up for the short. No IM for me next year, and the event week is seriously knackering - two days of hanging heavy objects (50kg chandelier etc) followed by being polite and enthusiastic to 23,000 people for up to 14 hours a day for seven days in a row.
Tempted to stay in bed on the Sunday, but will pop out for the short. So ner.
Just signed up for the middle but will probably only do the short. Nice to have the choice. Got lost last time anyways so who give a feck. Bastard Ozzer will sod off home before I get a chance to say goodbye anyway!
Er, I'm not doing this anymore. I sort of forgot to enter, and now I find that one of the people i was going to ride with is doing the wimpy short distance, the other is doing such a short distance that she isnt even coming, and there is a MTB race the same day. Hope you all have fun though!

Right, just sign up for the long course. Bring it on.

All this talk of ladies going short will be getting Doozer excited, think his luck's changed
no shame in going short...short and fast thats my aim (well fast in my world!!)
no more long rides for me until 2011
plus - we get all the food and get to laugh(sorry cheer) at the long course aferletes comin in
The only flats I like are of the riding type, but not for too long as it gets a bit boring.
The real agenda....
