This is turning into an event of Moonie proportions .... do the Moonies still exist? They were much talked about in the 70/80s but don't seem to have heard of them recently.
Well that sort of thing ..... actually the current auditionee has many trainsets ..... and that's not a euphemism I've not seen any evidence of a football though ....
Oh I've no objection to it at all. He makes it all from scratch too, all the wiring and scenery and even some of the little engines. Some of the stuff he's been involved in has won national & international awards. These are trainsets on a fairly massive scale
Dad had a massive train set... it was a whole room in the cellar. Must have been about 12ftx10ft... Every aspect of landscaping... we had alps, a lake, a beach, towns / villages. I loved it and I loved making the stuff. Anythink small and intricate requiring concentration I loved, such as building the little houses, hanging tiny apples into a tree. You could get completely lost in it.
One of my nicer set of childhood memories, making model railway stuff with dad.
He has a couple of small layouts dotted round the house and there's a new one under construction in his playroom .... which is two single bedrooms knocked into one ... the new one will fill that room when it's finished ... which will take about 3 years. The massive one which he helped build and which they display is about 60 feet long by 20 feet wide and is a scale replica of somewhere in the 1950s. It's just not my sort of thing at all but running isn't his I am the worlds worst at little fiddly concentration stuff, having the attention span of a goldfish.
Jikes I was sooo tired last night... Went for a drink for work leaving do, just to show willing... They went for a meal afterwards but it's a bit of a tight month this month, so I blamed the dog and went home. I have the perfect excuse now to get out of these things... "gotta walk the dog!"
Came home, had dinner and promptly fell asleep. I woke up when Kara licked me square across the face cos she wanted to go out!! So late walk last night, about 9pm... met lovely old gent with his similarly geriatric dog, loved listening to his stories as he has this fabulous Russian accent. I wanted to adopt him as a grandad!! Kara was also well behaved and less bouncy in geratric company, respecting her elders and all that.
So what's everyone up to this weekend -- apart from Corrie... we already know he'll be mainly eating & shagging.

I just had to gift wrap a Heron.....!!!
Not a real one... one of those plastic ones you put in a pond...
Ah, well contrary to the rumours I don't have any of those!!
I do like the idea of a multiple thread wedding though. We could all go off to Grena Green
It looks pretty cool... Although everyone was crying with laughter cos I did his legs first, then the head... the wrapping paper is red....
He looked a bit like S&M Heron...
TP he has train sets? I'll marry him if he knocks you back

They do say the difference between men and boys is the size of their toys TP and they sound like big toys!
Ah, I whiled away hours as a nipper playing with my train set. I think my dad and brother were just as happy playing with it as I was
Yipeeee yipeee yipeeee
I'm a guest for a reciprocal meal and then a film... and I'm taking my PJs
I will be having a facial on Saturday then visiting my mum. The rest of the time I will be sleeping.
Lucky pants for tonight then Corrie?
