From this far out.....if you want to run a marathon, you've got plenty of time to train for Liverpool 2012. Entries are pencilled in to open on 7/11/11......but I don't expect a sell-out as the event has lots of 'capacity' so doesn't need to impose a limit (unless word of how great the first one was got around brilliantly!).
Thought I'd pop back up on this forum as I'm seriously considering next years Marathon.
I've got a sabbatical at the end of next year and the race falls right in the middle of it so that works out really well but next summer is a bit mad. Might leave signing up until January when I loose all self control and make rash decisions about what I'm going to do in the new year!
Popping up to the Peak District on Friday for the weekend for a big family party. Really looking forwrd to it and I'm definatley taking my runing gear to have a go at some of the hills!
have a week off here and cant keep up with the threads but ihave to laugh at Scouse Elvis, u are considering running the marathon again then lol, i so remember in the pub after u saying "I am never running another marathon again" lol so glad to hear you've changed your mind
Cybarev - big family party, do us runners count as family perhaps we should come and party with you lol and then we can do some hill running with you too
I remember clearly saying I am not running another road marathon which in my mind meant one other than Liverpool (well that's how I'm rationalising it to myself

Whatever gets you to the start line, Scouse Elvis!!!!
Had the event debrief on Friday which inevitably is the start of the problem solving exercise (especially Traffic Management!!) so I'm pleased to say the process has started all over again.
The big plus is that we have more time and something tangible to work with now.
A few course issues were identified which will need to be addressed and they always tend to relate to local resident and businesses issues so now I can get on the development plan for next year.
Looking to get entries open soon and a review of all matters posted to keep everyone as updated as we can.
Roll on October 14th!! Doesn't it seem a long way off...
So on that basis an overall rating of 91% and a do again of 87%, bearing in mind one 40% overall rating with a 0% do again, the race rating looks pretty good.

Hi folks,

Hello Cybarev!
I should twist LOTS of arms in January when people are making resolutions! They can repent at leisure later on in the year!

I've been looking for an Autumn 2012 marathon and Liverpool looks ideal.
Given that there isn't a RW rating can someone give a quick overview of what worked and what didn't, is it PB potential etc.
Many thanks.
Yep.....you can read it here Birdy123
