Topics for discussion tonight... 1. The weak gauge boson particle 2. Rationalism - is it's all it's cracked up to be.. 3. No strings sexual encounters - do they exist or is it just me who is getting nothing
1, It's a cheese partical isn't it?
2, Yes but very boring
3, yes and yes. Question you should be asking is would you want then or something more matey?
With regard’s to parents mine are a nightmare sometimes but think I got lucky. Mine isn’t a family it’s more of a clan. Oh and I know I could get away with murder with my mum. It’s normally a problem to get her not to try to do stuff. Once mentioned to my sister than I’d ran out off towels, as in not done the washing. Next day mum turned up with 20 got from Debenhams, if anyone wants some?
Mike... about parenting styles and subsequent adult relationship styles... You know Baumrind's stuff dates back to the 60s now about the 4 cateogies of parenting styles...
• Authoritative – high control, high warmth • Authoritarian – high control, low warmth • Permissive – low control, high warmth • Neglectful – low control, low warmth.
Then you had Bowlby's attachment styles in children (often carried on into adult relationships)
secure avoidant ambivalent/resistant disorganised
it would be interesting if anyone had done some longitudinal stuff puting the two together and look at adult attachment based on parenting style received kind of thing...
Date was good. I like him, as in *like* him. But not sure if he feels the same... it's hard to tell at this stage, although he says he wants to do it again so there's a chance he does.
I hate this bit. All the anxiety and 'what if's... part of me is excited that I've met someone I'm attracted to, but the other side is scared of getting hurt.
Oh, and as for Madonna, she does look pretty good for her age! It's weird seeing celebrities you grew up with age, if you get what I mean. Even weirder when they die.
Thanks loulabell and BDB My problem is I overthink everything at the best of times, and now I'm being overanalytical with every message, wondering if it means he likes me or is trying to let me down gently. Aahhrrggghh, why is it all so complicated??!
oh hun , you and me both!! i worry far too much . by the time you have thought through every little thing said between you , you have missed all the fun and romantic moments!!!lol

I was always a bit different from the crowd to have a "proper job" like that.
yip Stu was hoose but Stu is cleverer
I am having trouble thinking of Hoose as Stu. I know he wants to "bury" Hoose but it still feels a bit weird...
Its like Nam changing her name to Madonna. She'll always be a Nammy to me!
And I even answer to LB now. One person on this forum calls me LJ. Only they and Mr LB are allowed...
