Coz you love it!! Is that joint party on then? Maybe we could go overboard and offer our OH's a whole crate of lager in the campsite? (Obviously to hand us the next day as we fly past on our bikes)
Oooooh I have the best memories of doing this last year. It was a one off for me to celebrate a big birthday......now I'm tempted to do it again just so I can say I did it twice while being 50 (birthday being 13th June) but.........haven't done anything since last year!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmm maybe.........
<<<<<<<runs out quickly whilst shaking head and saying are you that stupid???.......>>>>>>>>
I rarely come on the forum anymore but hope to be at Bsla, although injury means I probably won't get enough run training in so I was planning on 'offering myself' for a relay team. Happy to do the entering stuff if anyone wants to put a team together.
Obviously I don't want to do the run bit so swim or bike for me, preferably bike.
I'll keep checking on here to see if anyone is up for it.
Also got as far as filling in the entry form, will hold on to later in the month before posting. I wanted a Half in June as part of my IM Regensburg build up and fancied a change after doing this last year but couldn't find anything else.
Still, is a cracking race and will hopefully be able to measure some improvemement from last year, hopefully!
Also hoping not to collpase on the way home this year, that wasn't pleasent
May have to convince hubby that this one is the one instead of Eastnor. Although after hearing me moaning about the bike being rather lumpy.......I shall have some convincing to do if I want him to do a relay with me.
I've now printed out the form and filled it in, just need to write the cheque when I get home. I panicked slightly when I saw the 'Bike cut-off' listed on the form, but then again, I was somewhat slow last year...... Aim for this year is finish before they dismantle transition!!! So i'd better make the cut-off.....
Anyway, biking is better than it was then, and i've got a lot of training ahead, so i'm hoping to do a lot better this year. I'll still be at the back of the pack, but I can make significant improvements against last year's performance, and hopefully this will set me up well for the IM (or at least give me a good idea of where I still need to improve, etc).
