Cheers HeOw !! Ordered the Bible. Last time never did any 20 milers just one 16 miler thats it. Stupid mistake ! still managed to get home in 3.27 thou. Thats why i'm not messing about want to see if i can beat that time, going to get to 60 + miles a week at the peak of training (hopefully) last time it was 30 to 35 a week. 10 miles yesterday 5 today, hill reps tomorrow,up to 40 miles this week 10% increase a week hopefully injury free.
Got Luton marathon on 18th Nov then a couple of weeks rest then back into training just before Christmas so when the usual 16 week training starts 1st week January I am up to speed and can do most of it at greater intensity and get more longer runs in.
Any of you guys an girls done the Village Bakery in Wrexham ? if your after a pb this is the one to do, its as flat as a pancake and a super fast course. Its on mid Feb sometime so a great warm up for Manchester !
**limbers up**. RIGHT! LET'S F*CKING DO THIS! Anyone checked weather for this marathon yet...? I'm definitely in. Decided to do this and then Lakelands Trail marathon in July. Have I already said this on here? Never mind, just had to confirm it to myself, once I've hit the thread full force, means I'm serious. Cos you can't back out then.
Re Wrexham, not done it but fast course. Great one to do pre Manny.
Totally agree - Ashman you are gone way in front if you train properly. With regard weather HeOw we will struggle this year as 15West won't be telling us every 6 hours. HeOw and GazOC remind me what times did you just do in Chester
Right; plan is sub 2:30 for me, but will be happy with a 2:31. Beggars can't be choosers when you are running into Old Trafford, I might just trip over Wayne Rooney's new hair.
Andy the Deestrider i'll never be as fast as you matey doing 100 miles a week, is that you who did Helsby in 1.18 last year? was looking for my mates time and spotted you if it is. Getting my garmin back next week it broke, £51 to fix it, lost without it.
No heow i thought the rain was due at 10:47am or was it 10:46am, not sure meself now
also if that was my finish time i would go an do the five marathon majors an get a metric f*ck ton of money for winning in a world recorld. unfortunately reality keeps getting in the way.

Ashman - that is awesome with that sort of training - hate to think what you will do with P&D training

I did say Wayne Rooney "wanking" but deleted it as didn't want RW to get sued for libel.
Weather update - 11mph southwesterly, 11C rising to 13C, overcast with a short shower expected at 11.29. Sounds pretty good to me!!!
Will be sure to keep a look out for Rooney's shed barnet - thx for the heads up...............
Cooks, can you laminate that so we know it is 100%...?
HeOw - don't worry about Chester forum we will keep you well loved here (in the non biblical way)
Is that your finish time Andy?
HeOw - sure leave it with me, they have a laminator at my local Parkrun!
