Hello, can I join you in this thread. I have lurked a bit on the old thread and now found you on this new one.
I have met MC, Meldy and Podds in real life at various Triathlons. This year I am back to running, well to be precise rejoined the local womens running club beginners group so very much run/walk at present.
Hi and welcome Steady, please pull up a seat (if you can find one) and tell us aaaaall about yourself
Come on in Westie, there's plenty of room for your zimmer here
Am I right in thinking that only the stuff I post in here will remain? And I can put any old drivel (no change there then ) in the other one and it will mysteriously disappear into cyberspace?
I had a call from Mum's SW yesterday to say that, now that Mum needs 2 people and a hoist to move her, it will be too expensive to return her home, so she is recommending a care home. That is what I want - but it is pretty galling that the decision seems to be made 100% on financial grounds rather than what is best for Mum So, I will soon be running around trying to sort out somewhere to live - preferably (on the hospital's part) before we go away in 12 days!
OK - this is really pi**ing me off now.................following Sue's link I'm here..........trying to go in via forums, beginners we don't seem to exist............... What is it with upgrades that they are inevitably completely cr*p.......... and they've taken my evil and angry emoticons too..............bar stewards................
This is just awful................ggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Good and bad news Sluggy - at least the outcome is that SM's needs have now been recognised........but getting organised in 12 days???
Afternoon, yes, there seems to be a few glitches. I’ve ‘bookmarked’ this thread, and it shows as being bookmarked, but when I click on the bookmark star, it says I have no bookmarked threads - and no pee’d off or angry emoticons either. This is a poor show
Oh, and Sluggy, I’m afraid this is a sign of the times re SM. Having worked with Social Workers, to be fair to them, they are very much dictated to from ‘upstairs’. I’ve been at planning meetings where the SW will agree to something only to be told by the manager at the weekly supervision that it can’t happen - nearly always to do with money.

evening
well done to the cyclists - it rained a lot here today so I turboed, met a friend for lunch and we went to see Trainspotting this evening.
yums, sounds like the the miniyums are getting there. Well done to no 2 on the driving test, I am dreading mine getting to that age.
How was Trainspotting MC? Not that I can remember watching the first one ... I think it may have past me by
hello Yums, number 2 passing a driving test ...goodness the years have gone by have they not
sluggy, I'd be on the phone to SS first thing in the morning
ponies came in early today just before the rain settled in, they were more than happy with an early lunch !
busy day of errands tomorrow...may squeeze a run in somewhere
hi all
I enjoyed trainspotting, but was glad we had rewatched the original last week because there were a lot of references to it
didn't sleep well last night so haven't done a great deal today. Hoping to get a better night's sleep tonight
I've transmigrated ... Beam me up, Scottie!
Can we erase everything stupid we did in the last couple of weeks in real life too??

There is a parallel universe where gaps in time get lost forever.
I feel at home already.
You have an avatar Pippi. It's a jaunty little question mark. It makes you look very mysterious. But it does make me question why.
Welcome to our very humble, bare and quite depressing new abode Steady
Deffo need to decorate the place and make it more homely...............
