Brighton Rocks - I was very tetchy yesterday, there must have been something in the air!
went for a short run last night that stretched to 9 miles once I 'found' my legs and feel totally back to normal. Now when is that next race?????????????????
Expect everyone's getting the e-mail dropping through their in-boxes about next year's race. (April 10th)
Typical that entry opens on monday May 10th as I don't get back from hols in Vegas till monday lunchtime so by the time I get online, it will probably be full !!!
i am going to have a year off from a marathon - based on the comments here think i will avoid london as the pack of runners in my local 10k (2500 people in our little place!) really annoyed me. didnt get above 11 min mile pace for a 10k until over 1.5 miles and ran further due to all the people i had to run around!!
Did my first run today since the race - only 3 miles but glad i did it, just wish the legs were working a bit better - guessing that will come back
got my first 10 k race (hilly) on 23rd May - not sure if this will boost or sap my confidence. will try and find a fast flat 10k to boost myself. also got a half on 18th july which is flat. Desparate to get back to some speed....forgotten what its like to run fast (well for me !!)
Haven't run since, my right achilies is v sore. Seriously thinking about entering the Helsinki Marathon. A beautiful City and it crosses all the little Islands. Oddly it's on a Saturday afternoon!
Tracey G i have entered the Leicester marathon in October the daughter is at university thereshe had to go back to Leicester on the Thursday before we went to Brighton so never got to see me run
i don’t think any amount of night cream going to help me I’m afraid
I hope that everyone has received their online questionaire to fill in. There is a section for our thoughts on the good/bad bits and I did add a comment that they need barriers over the last 2-3 miles to keep runners and spectators apart!! Let's hope that someone takes notice.
I have been using the bike since my marathon to ease off my knees and injuries, I have only run 3times since as my legs took a good 3weeks to recover. Im only doing 4-5miles when out at the moment.
I really miss my running but the bike training has been fun sofar, I have biked from Horsham to Brighton on numerous occasions and went the Ditchling Beacon way today...Oh my steep hill but still enjoyed even with my luggage on the back lol. Ok I think I may be fitter than I thought !!!
I have the Canterbury Half 23rd so am hoping can try 8-10miles this weekend to test my legs, I also have 10k race in Lindfield bank hol just because I never done a short faster race but hope its not crowded like some of u guys experience...
Hope you all doing well with recovering and training for the next race, or whatever that may be
LA.........We're all on the 2011 thread now if you want to oin us there? Look out for me at the Canterbury Half.....hopefully if still running fine by then??? Thanet Vest....Tiny!!!!

Hi All
I have just noticed a couple of the items that were in the goody bag and wondered if anyone knows what they are for.
1. Evening Primrose firming mask
2. Vitamin E nourishing night cream
I have worked out what to do with the foot treatment cream.
