ooh, but if you're just looking for something to do, I've found a great pick your own & am have had great fun shelling peas & making jam/summer pudding this weekend!
Sarah, if ur just looking for something to do I have lots of ironing, cleaning and kids to look after while I go running if you're interested? Thought not .
My two do Aikidoe (?) at the English Institute of Sport on Thursdays, but they have adult classes on monday and Thursday also, depends on what kind of MA you want to do. Plus they are quite cheap.
Sheila - you'll love it, a whole new dimension to your fell running awaits Plus the prospect of getting lost).
I know he wanted to at beginning of the year, but have lost touch since. He's not on the list on pirate thread & not coming up on tracker..... unless he's in a relay like he did at outlaw?
Just briefly (whilst we have an interlude) - back from hols (top!) - a little early coz the kids wanted to see their dad and I didn't resist as I was haveing serious endorphin withdrawls. Managed a 3 mile run around the miniature golf course with 1 mile of hill reps whilst the kids were beating the living daylights out of each other with their golf clubs, then an 8 mile hilly coastal run when Jon arrived - I felt bloody awful - couldn't get going at all, decided I must have some serious symptom free illness and Jon was utterly unsympathetic. Set off on a 12 miler around the top part of Derwent/Howden today with 7 miles at tempo. Not expecting much as even though I know you can't lose that much fitness in a week of burgers, lager and doritos, I felt shocking. But lo! 51 mins for the 7 undulating tempo miles, av pace 7.19 so a full 2 minutes faster than I've done that run before . Top! Had a nap, checked Aitch's status and now out on me bike. Then I'll unpack the holiday stuff. Or maybe I'll fetch the cat.
Hyde park tri was good - anyone watch it? The Russion was magnificant - looked like he was really struggling but he held on. Top effort.
Had another good week training with biking & running. Did 5.48 miles today, even though I went over on my ankle, landing on the floor . Walked a little before setting off & have iced it since Ive got back plus took some pain killers. Hopefully it will be fine but think I'll just bike for a few days. definatley feel my running improving with biking inbetween, so will attempt a parkrun maybe in 2 weeks.
She`s into the last 6 miles of the marathon BB so, from my vast experience of marathons, ages yet. No seriously, she`s getting a bit quicker so another hour, ish!
Evening all. Been up in the Dales recce'ing the Sedbergh Hills race route, tough but good run, 15.5m & approx 6000ft climb but who cares!...
Go Aitch!! Missed her swim & bike (sounds like she stormed them both!) but have been tracking her run and like King ET says her pace seems to be nice and consistent. Awesome!

Ooh I like that tracker - fastest person out of the water in 46 mins! Fastest in my category 59, so I only need to lose an hour there then. Top!
Aitch through half way on the bike.
Splits look good
1:34 is a good swim - she's put loads of work in & really improved this year
Ooops! Sorry, missed your post Sarah!
