So then, who managed to do anything remotely "physical" today? I managed a mid morning stroll which was all I could muster.
Last year I managed a 10 miler before lunch. Of course, last year I was at the Inlaws which gave me ample grounds to stay away from their house for as long as possible.
I managed to drink 2 bottles of red wine & cook Christmas dinner. I then watched the Queen and fell asleep on the sofa. Daughter is now in charge of getting the tea snacks together while i watch Lord of the Rings.
I was a bit pissed by 11am so the planned bike ride went out the window
Been a good day, Merry Christmas, hope the belly aches gone Tim.
DTT - hope you and the family are recovered. Everyone having it at once is rough, but at least it will be over and done with.
Honk - well done. I decided to stay in bed snuggled up and will have a run later when I am frazzled from the kids arguing! Will get on the turbo soon though - got all the sufferefest videos for xmas, and the family won't feel like I have abandoned them if I am in the house!
Any Yorkshire folk out there? My auntie came from Yorkshire and always served her Christmas cake with a slice of good strong Cheddar cheese. A Yorkshire tradition or just her being odd?

I know of quite a few shire types who do this. My folks came up from down south in the 80's so always watched in horror but have had the guts to try it in the past and it's actually quite nice.
Just done a 1500m sea swim, my first ever - salt water doesn't taste very nice! Def worse than fruit cake and cheese! Must stop drinking when swimming!!

Good luck with the church spotting and a very Merry Christmas to you SD.
Oh? Are you reading it twice
Read it once, and spend the afternoon throwing darts at the photos ?
Hope you enjoy it Rocco.
That really made me laugh Madame Meldy
Just selected photos I hope, there are some nice ones in there ( not of me )
Have a great Christmas everyone.
Had a nice run around the Sugarloaf mountain this morning, now it's time for village pub. Happy Christmas everyone!

Happy Christmas all
I've been for a short run with the dogs, LJS is now out with Nemo doing a 10km in the rain. Charly is helping me with the Christmas dinner!
Happy christmas all.
1 hour brick done, bring on the turkey!!
Proud to report I have done precisely no physical activity whatsoever.
Food, wine, coffee, food, wine...................and repeat
I had a walk - 1 mile, lovely to get out for some fresh air!
So what's the chance, out of 365 days, of a stomach bug hitting at 3am Christmas morning?
oh no!! that's nasty DTT

Whole family's down with it ... sh*t day. At least it's out the way before Fink begins! Watched The Muppets, Ice Age 4, Phoenix Nights...
What rotten luck DTT
I managed a short walk on the beach and that's it really.
happy hangovers everyone.
No exercise yesterday but 2.5 hour run along the estuary christmas eve and just back from a run this morning all before any one else is up.
going for a boxing day walk with family on beach later when they surface, might be tempted to have a quick swim.
Walk into city with daughter to spend her christmas money then bike ride this afternoon to relax from the trauma of going into the city.
SD - you are brave going to the shops today!

I've been for a run, followed by a swim in the sea, followed by a long walk. Now watching Spartacus.
I swam today too, 2000m. OH, bless him, did 3000m. But I did get out of the showers quicker!
Being handed a thermos of hot tea post swim by my not quite 2 year old ranks up there amongst the best gifts of the season.
DTT - hope you're all feeling better
ID - that's sweet

One and the same I'd say. Does taste good though.

I like fruit cake and cheese. I was tipped off by a northerner about it. All the southerners I have told think it's gross.
