Steady, I was in exactly the same position. I e-mailed the organisers to see if an alternative method of collection could be arranged, but got no reply.
In the end I decided to pay £15 and change to an earlier flight.
Cinders kindly offered to try and collect my number when I had a problem. If you are stuck let me know and I'll pick up your number.
I will gladly try and collect whoever's numbers need collecting and pass on. Me and other half flying out on Fri for long weekend so will be there over registration.
Agnes, it will be my first marathon and my sister. We are flying out from Cardiff on the Friday with Air Wales. Have you booked flights, accommodation etc yet?
Have just been looking at ferry and flight prices. Can someone confirm the date of the marathon? Is it Sun 24th? I had the 26th in my head but that's a Tuesday? I'm confused!!
OK I've been following this thread for a while, and have been inspired to sign up for Dublin as my first marathon. It looks like there are a few others in the same boat. I'm flying from City airport on Saturday - anyone else (there's only one flight on sat I think)?
I fly from cardiff on the friday with Air wales too. I have booked accomodation and feel pretty good that all is arranged. Only problem is my training has gone to pot due to some sort of pulled or twisted muscle (according to the local quack)in my lower back.
I'm also meant to be doing the cardiff 8k soon but as i havn't ran for almost two weeks I'm gettin kinda worried. Might see you at the airport in October. Look out for the scottish accents.
Have booked my flights form Bournemouth for Saturday to return Tuesday . Does anybody recommend a good spot to stay. I have seen details of several places around the temple bar/o'connel st, quay area. Looks close to the start in Nasseau? St . But where abouts is the registration compared to the city centre please
30 minute walk will be a good warm up the day before the marathon...however...I can't be bothered by going to registration. Having a friend pick up my race #, so as not to interfere with doing my touristy bit... )

Hi Y'all
They are fine about someone collecting it for me. So Cinders I will take you up on your kind offer if that is OK.
