I did the Silverstone half today, and it was a really good day. Tried my hardest to beat 2 hours and finished in an unofficial time of 1:59:24. Yippee.

I will try for the same next week but Reading has some hills (unlike today) so it's going to be more of a challenge.

really really want to get under 2 hours on sunday, its going to be a case of whether I can get over those little voices in my head come the big hill at 10 miles, that tell me I cant do it.

If I tell enough people I am going for the 1.59, I might even do it!

Twink, thats a good run - you should be going under the 2hour mark I reckon.

I did a supposedly easy (also short, shame) 10 miles in just over 1 hour 30 but I was seriously beginning to flag at the end of it (thats my worry, that I will run out of steam).

Ran most of the course on Saturday. Has somebody stretched Kendrick Hill (3 miles) - seemed to go on forever, possibly because I was on my lonesome. Russell Street ( 9miles) was just as I remember - shortish but steep!

boro boy, how long do you think the hill at Kendrick Road is? I can do short steep hills I think, but I don't like long drawn out hills... got a feeling that Im not in luck here though!

Well the hills of Reading can't be anywhere near as bad as the ones at Imber yesterday so if anyone wants piggy back up them Barkles will be more than willing won't you MR B ??!!
