I was on cutback mileage this weekend and this week......it was very welcome...
off to the lakes next weeklend for a recce of the second section of the lakeland race.
i watched the merthyr half yesterday at the turnaround point.I was actually on the little humpback bridge of the river.....such a steep little bridge that must have been a killer for those racing.
was great to see a new club put on a successful new race....
Morning! Is it Llanelli Marathon Sunday Seren? Might go and watch if Oliver doesn't have rugby.
Had a nice run up the old railway line to Swiss Valley last night (basically ran the 5 part of the HBA 5-10-20) course. Much easier going up than down as even though it's an old railway line the constant incline up is greater than it first seems.
Morning. Just heading back from Cardiff after a dinner. Quiet day today then up early tomorrow to go and watch the Llanelli Marathon and then a run of my own after (nearer 6 miles though rather than 26!).
Have a nice weekend all and continue resting that leg NR.
Enjoyed watching the Llanelli Marathon on Sunday - great weather for it, if not a bit hot. We stood at the mile 25 point - there were some very tired people passing - I take my hat off to them - it's some way 26 miles.

30 miles Kev. and there is an 18 mile option as well. for runners and walkers I believe.......
Back to work after a nice weekend. Lovely trail run up the valley and around the reservoir (Swiss Valley) on Saturday and then a great day of rugby.
Cardiff today then an overnight stay in a hotel to look forward too (sarcastic tone). Much rather be home than away without the family.
Have a good week all.
