But will have to see if I get through RR50, T2T, Draycote and back-to-back White Peak & Windermere maras first. If I manage all that and I'm still in one piece, then I should be in great shape and RAWW should be doddle.

I think it is because it was my first ultra
and on the last lap--3 forumites turened up as a surprise to support me with gin and pringles
the next year i pulled out after 6 loops(30.25 miles)(was getting a lift home, and it was freezing and the bloke who was giving me the lift had already waited 3 hours).I never forgave myself for that
then I went back this year and did a pb by 45 minutes.i was at a very low ebb then(at the end of the job hell)-and i somehow held it together

I think that the only Pringles that are any good are the sour cream ones and they are very yummy indeed. I don't buy them though as I find the 'once you pop you can't stop' line to be very accurate.

Just checking for alternatives in the likely event that I get rejected for the FLM.
I tried putting the route for this into the GMAPS pedometer thing and it doesn't come out as REALLY hilly, just a few ups and downs. Although all my marathons have been on the flat, most of my long runs have big Yorkshire hills in. Can anyone give a definitive answer on the 'undulating' nature of this one?
Alternatively, if you prepare a list of your possible options, somebody may be able to give a comment on their comparative hilliness/toughness.

CumbriAndy has a point there. Also, how hilly you think a race it is often depends on whether you are trying really hard for a PB or just jogging round!
