But will have to see if I get through RR50, T2T, Draycote and back-to-back White Peak & Windermere maras first. If I manage all that and I'm still in one piece, then I should be in great shape and RAWW should be doddle.
'IF'!?! The chances of doing all that and being in one piece are probably very small though!!
Right- it's annoying me now. What is RAWW? I even googled it and it came up with 'West Wimbledon residents' association' and 'Radical and Wicked Women' and I don't think it's either of those!
Thank you! I hope you can do this one Hipps. We could find a nice pub after for a few drinks and a nice meal. I love the Lakes! Fingers crossed for no cut-off or at least a reasonable one.
Velociraptor- Thanks for that information. Have just had a look at the website. I must not look at any more race websites because I want to sign up for all of them!
Well done Flanker! Ou for revenge next year then?!
I was hoping it would be the weekend before as I will be in the Canarys and wouldn't be tempted! Are you going to do it if it's then Hipps? Can you check this out when you do the Kenilworth half?
I want some cake!!!!!
Levi- We can have a Mabo reunion with Hipps at Draycote instead!
and on the last lap--3 forumites turened up as a surprise to support me with gin and pringles
the next year i pulled out after 6 loops(30.25 miles)(was getting a lift home, and it was freezing and the bloke who was giving me the lift had already waited 3 hours).I never forgave myself for that
then I went back this year and did a pb by 45 minutes.i was at a very low ebb then(at the end of the job hell)-and i somehow held it together is a special race for me
Oh good- I'll go seek it out then. I think that the only Pringles that are any good are the sour cream ones and they are very yummy indeed. I don't buy them though as I find the 'once you pop you can't stop' line to be very accurate.
Just checking for alternatives in the likely event that I get rejected for the FLM.
I tried putting the route for this into the GMAPS pedometer thing and it doesn't come out as REALLY hilly, just a few ups and downs. Although all my marathons have been on the flat, most of my long runs have big Yorkshire hills in. Can anyone give a definitive answer on the 'undulating' nature of this one?
I don't think there is such a thing as a 'definitive answer'. What does and doesn't constitute a 'hill' varies enormously from person to person based on their experience. I reckon your best bet would be to do a comparative pedometer thing for one of your potential long training runs then put the two profiles side by side.
Alternatively, if you prepare a list of your possible options, somebody may be able to give a comment on their comparative hilliness/toughness.
Excellent Levi! I really hope it's on the 18th and not the 11th or I won't be able to join you.
CumbriAndy has a point there. Also, how hilly you think a race it is often depends on whether you are trying really hard for a PB or just jogging round!

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Levi- Ignore what I just posted about dates. I was getting my marathons confused!
