Now a sensible company would send an email out with another potential time say 6pm tonight so it gives them time to sort issue and we dont have to sit here on refresh button like divs all day
Don't think anybody on there has been Rude Flat Footed but without being funny they have just charged £8 x 1450 or £11600 in booking fees for a computer to process payments, its big money and the delay may cost some people their places depending on their circumstances etc
I am in for the half and hoping the full does not sell out before tonight as 200 miles from home and credit card at home.
I think entering an event was what was lacking from my training plan. All of a sudden I am very very eager to get out training.mpity I am away from home and no kit!
In for the half and relay team in for the full!! MrsD and Sharla I will PM you! yes, £8 as a booking fee is massive, and £3 booking fee for the half, grrrr
I agree with FF, I think people have been being rather unkind/rude on FB, Twitter and on here. I suspect that whoever they are using for entries (Active?) are charging the £8, not OSB themselves and that OSB are as cross as their potential entrants. This will cost them money too if their potential entrants take the hump and enter an alternative race.
In - decision finally made .. Then seconds later Nirvana send me an email saying they still have entry slots for IM Copenhagen!! Oh well, Outlaw will be far cheaper and more convenient, and Copenhagen can wait for another year
OSB is a commercial outfit that gets a huge amount of praise for the things it does well and rightly so. That doesnt mean it should be beyond criticism when it screws up. The email saying that "some" peoples emails were not sent out this morning was always going to cause problems as
a) It was not true as non of the emails had gone out
b) It wrongly had people believing that they were going to miss out in what had become and unfair sign up process.
There can always be unforeseen problems but when people are shelling out £278 they have a right to be annoyed imho.....Having said that, it could be worse, Steve Crams Marathon on the North in my home town turned out to be short of a marathon by 200 yards courtesy of bad stewarding lol....Only the winner ran the full distance
Can you imagine getting to the finish of Outlaw to find out the next day you hadnt actually completed the IM distance
That's about the same as last year when it first started I think. Should be cool if it's filling up later today can just use sarah's gin kitty. Cheers guys.

Link up people!
Phil - and then what if they couldn't meet that 6pm deadline?
Generally, not specifically to Phil, this obviously isn't planned and I think it's a little unfair to sit blasting OSB all morning.
In.
The Outlaw FB page is full of rude wankers IMO.

How full is it can anyone tell? Sat on my hands till pay day.
Wasn't that what happened at the "Longest Day"?
And IMUK and...and...happens a lot, doesn't give people the right to be rude.
Cake, can't tell mate but judging by FB, filling up fast. But 1400 is a lot and there is always reserve places that will come up I would have thought
Cake - they just tweeted they'd had 400 entries in first 10 mins.
