Ironman Wales for me next year, also signed up for Long Course weekend, Outlaw Half, a sportive in April and a 50k MTB race in March!
Training is pretty casual right now, just enjoying myself and having a bit of fun. If swimming with tri club can be called fun...
Still waiting for a physio/MRI appointment for my knee, it's been feeling weird, stiff for a while. Just started gentle running again and it's not too bad, but something's still not right.
Looking forward to seeing Sossige selling us coffee at events soon!
mmmmmm carbon fibre. Nursey can you ask them how they are getting on with the Shifter's please started to see them about a little and wundering if they are any better. Not that will ever be able to aford them anyway.
Cake, she had her first ride on it today and said it was "heaven"
Went for a swim today and our local GB age grouper was there too. We've not been at the pool together for ages, and the first thing she said to me was, "You've put a lot of work into your swimming. You've improved so much I didn't recognise you at first". She's someone who's always given me good advice and encouragement, so I was pretty chuffed. (Ignoring the implication that my swimming was previously shite !)
Did my first swim in 3 months yesterday - boy was it hard work!!
And found out today that as part of a one million pound re-furb of the gym, that nice Mr Branson is getting us half dozen Watt Bikes this week - that's the winter training sorted out!!
Right, After seeing my cycle helmet still with IMUK stickers on it i think ive had a long enough training break. Bikes coming out the shed tomorrow & first bike ride since Bolton planned
Had a play on the new WattBikes in the gym today - they obviously have power meters in the crank as it displays the power for each leg. My left leg is slightly weaker, which is no surprise, but was amazed how the difference increase with increased power output.
Also got slightly higher output at higher cadence, but with same HR!!
Sausage if you do any event's in Bury St Edmond's or Peterbouorgh let me know. I will mention to my Granny. I'm sure clan leader will ask all the cousin's to get a drink.
Get the coffee on SD - double espresso for me please.
Have just been on my bike for the first time in AAAAAAAAAGES. But it was silly windy so I put the turbo outside on the deck and spent some time with Chrissie. Don't think the sheep knew quite what to make of it!
i had had plans to do the coffee at numerous sporting events but then had an offer offer of a market pitch Saturday & Sunday from April onwards. It was an all or nothing offer so ive had to go with the markets as opposed to a couple of events each month.

Hello, hope everyone is well.
i had had plans to do the coffee at numerous sporting events but then had an offer offer of a market pitch Saturday & Sunday from April onwards. It was an all or nothing offer so ive had to go with the markets as opposed to a couple of events each month.
Hope that works out for you SD

No training for me today but I have made bread, so that counts as an upper body workout.
It does if I can claim it as well. err I'll just hide the bread machine through.
Lifting the bread machine out of the cupboard counts Cake.
Smug me - I made mine all by hand
