I live in Berkshire, it's suprisingly hilly round here (I hear everyone laughing!) or maybe I just seem to aim for the hilly bits! Also done a couple of hilly sportives - the Isle of Wight and Mega Meon - both over 1400m of elevation.
Thanks for the vote of confidence ElBeanpole - good to hear from someone who's 'been there, done that'
I live in Berkshire too, West Berkshire actually, we have some lovely hills out here, in fact a couple are in the Top 100 climbs, Combe Jibbet or Walbury Hill being on my doorstep as well as the Boxford Alps, the Wantage Road & Faccombe, Ashmansworth & Aldbourne to name a few.
Last big weekend before taper! Yesterday, a 120km bike followed by a 14km run. Today a 27km run (despite the weather forecast I remained fairly dry!) and looking forward to a chilled afternoon...if I don't fall asleep!
Saturday 90 mile ride, 4 mile run, today just a long run of 2.5 hours and some 17 miles. Ache all over, stupidly went camping last night, hardly slept a wink and almost took off about 3 times in the night when it really started to howl! Good fun though albeit air beds are no substitute for a memory foam mattress.
2 weeks to go for me! 4hr bike and 30 min run yesterday, full distance (+50m if the distance if the loops in the lake is to be believed!) swim (1hr 33) and a VERY SLOW 2hr run...feeling good!
Anyone left on here? Taper madness is well and truly setting in with 5 days to go, and I need some company, otherwise I'm just talking to myself. Which is just madness.
Cheers for the support guys - had very sketchy internet in france and my race report is in progress but just wanted to pop on here and let you know I finished Challenge Vichy in 13hrs 45 mins and 3 seconds! About 15 mins quicker than expected! Dead chuffed! Now to sleep and then I'm off to Australia tomorrow!

Just you and me left on here FRV? Yeah, camping isn't generally conducive to good sleep...
Loving rest day today!
