This teacher's had an extra day off - for "report writing"! Here is my report: We went to the zoo. It was colder, wetter and windier than forecast, but we had a great time!
Well done for being philosophical about it all, Meldy. 40 mph winds here! not bike riding weather.
Yay for C2!
And fingers crossed for JFF and the boys! Brave. Pippette complains that now she doesn't come with us we go on interesting holidays without her ... yes!
Daffy, you need to get out more, you're not even a number crunching accountant
Go chuggy and Monty. How fabulous he now has you trained to plod 4 miles. What a clever lad
Oh dear, DL, , how can the stew be bland and cake like a rock if OH was supervising. I am assuming of course OH can cook...
Get C2 How chuffed he must be. I know you've said previously he's a natural, clearly others think so too. The hard work he put in will have helped too
(((DG, Sharkey and Elvis)))
Well, Armageddon hasn't happened here yet despite the forecast. Mind you its overcast and pretty blustery. Interesting cycle to work then! Busy week what with Will writing, plumbers, dentist, run club oh and work. Waist well
Having a 'high alert' week with FC6, hence booking time off. Already had first panic when school texted to say she wasn't there. Phoned, checked, blah, blah ,blah - and she is there. Good to see none of the protocols specially put in place for this week have been adhered to!
Also today is our 25th anniversary. OH actually got me a card. I didn't get her anything. Who said romance is dead???
Can I come on holiday with you and the boys too Far Far??? - maybe all the WAISters could join you. That would be jolly - where you going?
Right - back to work now the heart rate is settling back to normal
Happy windy Tuesday - I'm hoping that's just the weather and not your gastrointestinal condition
last time I had half of next doors shed roof felt, not exactly Dorothy & Toto
i finished work at 3 and picked up a sack of carrots on the way home for the FGO, wandered up the town for a few bits and then spent FOREVER trying to sort out car insurance and lost the will to live
vet bill paid, residence permit paid ...I will be making a visit to Rackhams in the near future
Were there ruby slippers peeping out from under the roof?
Residence permit? Are you likely to be deported?
First day back .. aaaah! they have forgotten how to be in school. I have a croaky throat, but have warned of zero tolerance tomorrow!
Pippette has bought a bike - quite a nice hybrid for a very small amount of money! Someone has gone to live abroad and left it behind with family who have a lot of bikes already (I know, Nogs, too many bikes?)
Mr P has been to see his specialist for his 6 weeks post op check and sent away for 6 months with the consultant very pleased. Apparently it is quite normal for people to have dizzy spells etc for a few months so nothing to worry about. I think that has made him feel better too. Doc is happy for him to drive. Mr P however is not so happy about doing this yet!
I don't think it's nerves about the driving - his chest is still painful after straining it. You shouldn't drive post op if there is pain as you will be reluctant to react quickly if needed for fear of hurting yourself, apparently.
The hoped for trampoline does not seem to have appeared - how very annoying. I did however have to nip to Tescos and so, bought some flowers for OH - they were reduced for quick sale - I didn't tell her that bit. She was touched - some would say she is touched.
((((Mr P's chest)))) - maybe a rub down with an oily rag might help?
Off out to Herefordshire - where hurricanes hardly ever happen - so that's good then.
[slides in quietly and leaves absence note on Meldy's desk
Hi everyone. Sorry for being away for so long and also apologies in advance for not having read back. Life's a bit bumpy at the moment - I'm not really sure why. MrC thinks it's mid-life crisis which he describes as being like "you're bumping into the furniture all the time". That's exactly how I feel, so maybe it is that.
Apparently one day you realise it's stopped and you're through it. Until then I just have to keep going and hope that I don't get too bruised. It's not serious - just a bit uncomfortable and frustrating.
I've been doing lots of swimming and have grand plans to go shopping for a wetsuit on Saturday so that I can sign up to open water swim training and then some open water swim challenges. But I'm still getting very tired so have found a PT who will also give my diet and lifestyle a bit of an overhaul along with the exercise / training schedule. Hoping it will help. Hoping anything will help right now!
And in other news, I have an appointment with an orthopaedic consultant in a couple of weeks time to review knees and hips. I'm not expecting anything except a referral for an MRI scan out of that appointment.
Yes Mr P should postpone driving for a bit yet ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DL anniversary congrats and flowers to you are getting soft .
Good to see C2 is doing you proud Chuggy and so you should be.
M..eldy behind Rackhams ??. they will think it's a police "sting"..
Going out to stagger round the streets again for 30 mins don't think it is shorts weather here very cold wind.and don't think the street could take too much of me in shorts..
I’ve been taking a rather voyueristic approach to the forum of late, but I’m keeping an eye on you all.
I can remember little of what has been happening of late - so hugs and woo hoo’s as appropriate
Another comeback Westie?
I’ve been listening to Woman’s Hour this morning and hear that our Pippi is also making a comeback She’s looking good for her age, Woman’s Hour report that she’s 70 this year
Coco sorry you're feeling out of sorts I do think making plans helps and the swimming stuff sounds fab - I do the same but mine is entering marathons
I shall catch up on the womens hour podcast later and see what Pippi is up to
well done Westie
I've done nothing this week - its my busy time, off on hols on Monday so probably not worth doing anything now! oh no I forgot - I've been doing plakathon in an attempt to get a bikini body - hahahahaha even made myself laugh

Hope all goes smoothly with FC6 this week though on a more serious and adult note
I have just watched our BBQ cover lift off and disappear into the horizon.
Fly free little cover - hope you find something more exciting to protect from the rain in someone else's garden
Here's hoping we get a trampoline in exchange
- do let us know what gifts you receive..........marginally less windy here now........marginally !
Whatever flies in you can give OH as an anniversary pressie!!
Far Far, I wouldn't be surprised!!
Craig cancelled our session today so I had a little nap instead!!
Off out to Prezzo for colleague/friends birthday
Oh that would be fun to list items that 'blew in'

Goddam iPad, thinking it can spell better than me
glad Mr P is on the mend, sounds like a bit of nerves going on with regards the driving?
Podds, I do hope the boys behave themselves now they have done the 'attention grabbing'!!

Evening,
Pippi, you are right - no driving until Mr P can put his foot down firmly without pain. Interpret that how you will
Happy Anniversary DL and OH. I'm very glad that FC was found safe and sound, I'm hoping this difficult period passes smoothly.
(((Podds and the Hound dogs)))
Oooh, a WAISTer hollibob? When am I being picked up?
Glad you didn't get blown away when you were selling your wares round the back of Rackhams Meldy
It brightened up here after lunch but is a tad blowy again now.
(((WIN)))
WAIST well xxx
