Have you sent that photo yet CR?

have managed to see my photo on site - one of them I'm smiling somemuch that I put Ronaldiho's gob to shame. Number is 14550

Ronaldinho, I mean Carpet, will definitely send it tonight, as I have been busy having "dealings" with Essex girls up to now.

Fattty, Essexcestershire is actually a wonderful place - but isn't it funny that you used to work for Burberry?! I thought so anyway. Did you also do work experience in a white stiletto factory? Or is that just ridiculous?!

Anyway Tim, what was wrong with my list? Is it just because unlike MK Dons, you wanted to be at the top of the table for once!

David- you are right about the french not being too fussed about marathons I think. I bought a copy of L'Equipe on the Monday expecting it to have lots of coverage but all there was was about a third of a page on page 7 (even the weekends handball matches had a full page)

The first 6 pages were filled with the Paris-Roubaix cycle race , which I guess tells you just how big cycling is in France

I'd still run it again though

Ankle slightly sore but otherwise OK

Nigel, I also checked the national papers on Monday and all I could find was a small article (1/4 page) in 'Le Monde' and everything else was about cycling.

Another point I had a problem with was the fact the race was in KM? I had a big psycological problem with 42km instead of 26m. I know it's petty but it made a difference to me!!!

    my number was 24057

    Been getting this:

For your comfort, we invite you to visualize your photo later."

All day today - mon dieu!

Anyway rach its that bloke with cute eyes as you say. Thanks for asking how i did. I came in at 3hr 38min on my watch as i had to stop for a comfort break at the half way point.

Have got my number for FLM and will be trying to beat my last time, who knows. will be starting easy and working my way up.

Is there any meeting points after for a beer?

Hi MrE2. Congrats on a great time in Paris! I fully expect to take about an hour longer on Sunday!

The Chandros has been mentioned for after. Didn't your mates fill you in?

Congratulations to all of you. Thinking of doing this next year, but haven't read the previous 2000+ contributions.
Can someone please clarify the medical requirements (ie. needing a medical?), including cost of this?
Also, how does it compare to London (which I'm doing on Sunday as my first marathon) - and may abandon the idea of any other marathon after?!
  • Options
I think London is better organised and for me a cheaper weekend. The distractions are better in london - all the fancy dress etc, more energy drinks
Paris was great really enjoyed it as ann experience - funny i thought it was more "intimate" - how can something be intimate with 35 000 people
    my medical cost me nothing

Carpet, I'll leave that up to the individual.

Cheers Rach, surprised MRE2 makes friends with jokes like that.

Will head for The Chandros after. Expecting lots of blag and plenty of boast.

May have to go back to Paris to recover the canary (yellow shirt), for Sunday night.

MrE2, would you like me to supply a paper for Sunday's pit stop?

Best of luck to you all.

    Hi all

Good to hear the postings continuing. Its been a bloody mad week for me, very busy, blah, blah, but been out for 3 miler tonight - not too painful. (FLM loometh)

The weekend is still a strong memory - but did we all REALLY go to Paris and run in the Marathon? Blimey.

BTW I used one of the "useful phrases" while over there - "Avez-vous un micro onde" - well how else does a man on a mission get his oats? - dont answer that Coopers
