I probably wont get a turbo tyre as I probably need to replace my current ones anyway after the winter.
Saying that though they don't seem to have been worn down that much from the small amount of turboing I have recently done - not even from the 1 hour of turbo training where my plastic bike pump had slipped down and was rubbing quite a lot on the tyre - enough to in fact create a large indent in the pump, a nice tyre shaped groove!! I just thought I had the resistance turned up
I think there is a high threshold for turboing. Once I get to about 45 minutes it becomes monotonous and boring and I just keep going for another half hour or so (not that I do it often!) without particularly noticing the time.
LSR = Long Slow Run, staple of endurance running. Just a long plod as far as I am concerned, more about time on feet than anything else, at an easy, conversation level HR.
So which sick puppies are training on christmas day I always get up stuff the turkey in the oven then get out with Wilson the mighty Irondog for an hours run whilst the family are still snoozing
I've managed to talk the OH into an early morning Christmas Day run - although I now think I'm going to regret it when she holds me to my word... she has more motivation than me right now!
Haha been there Slim with my kids but now they are lazy teenagers who I have to chase out of bed around 11 as I want to open my pressies Mrs RBM is a bed monster to, I think I am in the wrong family

Max- if I wanted to go for any training on Xmas day before my two mini-pirates get up then I'd have to set off at about 0300hrs!!
Last year I got pestered from about 0330hrs onwards
