Yep, I've done both gloves now, and started on another pair, adapting for full-fingered, and a beautiful kimono top for a girl at work whose baby is due in mid March - it's all in bloody garter stitch with 3-ply, so it's going to take me AGES to do!!

I bet it'll look fab though Sossidge.
I've actually been a busy bee this weekend and finished off a jumper that I was making on my machine. It's taking a while to drag up all the long forgotten knowledge I had some 20 - or more years ago!
I added some cable detail to the front of the jumper and made the neckband in cable as well. It's not by any stretch of the imagination perfect, but I'm getting there.
In other news, my handwarmers are proving very popular at work. A fiver a time, a joy to knit and I can do a pair in an evening...i have since knit a lovely little baby hoodie (with another in progress for a certain special little Forumite lady), and a baby kimono for a girl at work....and a GIANT GLOVE...
but I say this and thought of this thread...................any budding royalists out there.....( being welsh I'm amazed at the crap a royal wedding can chuck up)
To celebrate the installation of our latest dino-related exhibition, I have knitted an ammonite...wasn't sure how he would turn out as I made it up as I went along, but he is cute and the person I made him for likes him very much. May I present to you: Mr. Ammonite:
Oh I always knit on straights Beebs - I don't like DPNs/round needles at all...probably makes me a proper amateur, but I find I can alter most patterns from DPNs.
Seren, my hubby picked up a quilt magazine for me today and got a £2 voucher off the Knit your own Royal wedding book...so if you fancy a copy I can send the voucher to you.
Someone at S%B is knitting three sets for her American rellies <img src="/forum/smilies/surprised_smiley.gif" alt="" title="" border="0"><img src="/forum/smilies/big_smile_smiley.gif" alt="" title="" border="0">
I am planning a new craft project and am having problems sourcing one of the bits I need
I am looking for one of these...
The split ring and the bezel pendant are bought separately. They have plenty of the key ring bits in my local hobbycraft, but I cannot find anywhere that sells blank/empty bezel pendat in the UK. Plenty of Outlets in the USA but I would rather avoid paying the postage from there.
Does anyone ahve any idea where I could find them or even what I could put into google. I have tried all permutations of blank, pendant, bezel, craft but cant find anything
This idea cannot get move from the planning stage unless I can source the kit I need
On closer inspection, i think the ones linked to are more for stickers rather than resin. After a lot of surfing I googled 'pendant blanks for resin and got this.
Anyway, do any of you, through your extensive knitting contacts, know of a pattern for the Sarah Lund jumper from The Killing? I did read that there had been much discussion of it on Ravelry but I could only find a chart for the fair isle bit, not a complete pattern. I could work it out, I suppose, but am lazy.

Just saw this...
It's a moth that does its own knitting. See the little knitting needles on its head there?
Brilliant, Small
I am not buying anything new until I have used up some of my stash, I have so much on the go or waiting to start I really can't buy anything else
Been ages since I've knitted gloves but remember them being nice and quick!
You could have a bash at converting the pattern to a full-fingered one - shouldn't be too hard.

Meldy
Meldy, you know you want one
They've proved a real hit at work, to the extent that I'm considering making up a load ready for our fossil festival/staff sale and flogging them!
Loving the 'knit your own royal wedding' idea - frighteningly kitsch!

is this the sort of thing that you are after. I think they have more than just the basic plastic.
Wow! Fantastic result, Biker Mouse.
Yes, I want metal ones as I am thinking about putting an image inside and then covering it in resin

Time for the plans to move on to the next stage
