Aaaaahhhhhh! It's cats for me, although I do love dogs... can't have either though, as I live on the second floor. Also, I don't think Dolly would be too happy!
Sounds like people have had some fun weekends. Mine was quiet, but nice. Saturday met the bf for coffee, then we went to the geek shop.... and came out with some fantasy roleplay cards, which we played with most of Saturday evening and some of yesterday too.
Morning MO - once Monday is out of the way, it's nearly the weekend. Sort of.
Fun weekend had here and a little excitement when I had to take the house mate to A&E after he dislocated his little finger when we were at a bbq. Fortunately I'd only had one small beer so could still drive. They fixed him up and back we went. Good old A&E

Magic the Gathering Was all going great until he put a pacifism spell on my badass dragon. So I decided to chip away at his life force bit by bit with a fire-slinging goblin. This is probably a metaphor for our future together
I spent most of the weekend either walking the dog or hiding behind the camera... Carnival and Big Weekend festival got covered. Missed out on the fireworks cos too much cloud cover and rain, so no point freezing bits off and getting wet. Also started a Mobile Madness set for a laugh... seems like people are on them literally all the time now... Often when I'm driving I see bus stops with 15 people stood there... all texting or browsing. Or cyclists texting... I thought it might make for a fun collection. LOL
Just traipsed halfway across city and back as wasn't informed of meeting cancellation.
Just had work email saying they need to cut about 100 principal officers posts and are asking for expressions of interest for VS. But the amounts have changed since I applied last year and it would be £9500 instead of £17,000 so I can't really afford it now as that's not a lot of money to keep my head above water for long... *huffs*

BDB - how did your mate dislocate his finger?!
One day we will meet at a race and I can kick you arse with my comedy chicken of death card.
Nam - too cute......did you ever think of working for a dog charity, lol - i reckon you'd get alot of rehoming done if you took their pics and put the captions to them.......though i'm a bit of a softie for dogs, so i'd just try and take them home with me......except my Westie wouldn't be impressed...
Snails Pace, I'm afraid there is already someone local who is unbelievably talented in pet photography and does some work for the local shelters / dogs homes on the side, but if you're interested in that sort of photography then Poochography will put a smile on your face.
Thanks for the link Nam - that guy is SO talented - and its really lovely to hear he uses it to help his local rescue centres!! Its nice to read good stories like that, instead of all the horrible stuff that happens to poor animals. Defo put a smile on my face
Afternoon. We've had a great day driving round Exmoor. Walk round Lynmouth and crab salad for lunch then a scrummy cream tea later on somewhere else which was very pretty.
The resident dog has arrived and is very cute and well behaved. He's an odd mix, definitely not classically handsome. No Labrador in there as he wouldn't paddle in the sea with me.
Kara loves her blue squeaky ball. It's not as big as a football but not as small as a tennis ball... I think she can also see it better than her red one on grass?? Are dogs red/green colour blind??
Bob's favourite game at the moment is chase the cat around the house without touching the floor, so they leap from chair to chair, chair to coffee table, coffee table to chesterfield and when he gets the chance he uses me as a springboard.
The dog 'thinks' he is a cat - the cat's just being himself and won't venture onto the floor where the dog has the advantage in the inevitable wrestling match that follows the chase.

Hullo Crapsters...
Nice weekend everyone?

Just for Frodo...
"Will you be my mummy???????"
"I do not need another dog, I do not need another dog, I do not need another dog..."
*deep sigh*
** cry - whine - sniffle **
Funnily enough, I met yet another collie-x-greyhound at the top of The Wrekin yesterday... I think that may well be what I look for next summer

Just back from an hour of playing football with Kara (her new favourite thing!) and general messing around in the river...
Resident dog walked. B could never play football without bursting the ball. Flash, my childhood Collie, could have played at the World Cup.
Have had a brilliant time here. I soooooo don't want to go home
I was curious last night... Apparently...
As dogs only have two different colour receptors in their eyes they have problems to distinguish certain colours:
Interesting...
and Frodo... apparently type of retina is linked to length of nose!! http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/s953902.htm
