Spoons - I think the miles I didn't count prior to the 14th feb would have me truly over 2500. I was running between 45-55 miles a week then so no push i'm being a good girl and sticking to my plan..........!!!
11 Miles for me this morning alternating 1 mile easy 1 mile brisk. Really enjoyed the session and although probably did the brisk faster than I should have I felt in control and like I could run loads faster?? Must be good!!!
spoons - mileage should be a byproduct of training not a reason to go training :¬)
So much for my planned "4024 in 2012" then!
Last day at school over and done with. Ate too much at buffet lunch today, but while many went to the local to celebrate the end of term, I celebrated with a 7.72m slow recovery run. Last run in the dark for a while too
Early morning session on the dreadmill this morning.................kidz now not happy since its the school hols and I was making such a noise!!! One way of getting them up in the morning!!!
Baked a lovely gluten and dairy free gingerbread cake this morning too.........hopefully it'll taste as delicious as it smells. Gluten free cakes are always a bit tricky to make so sometimes end up in the bin.
Off out for 7 miles now myself and then parkrun with Mrs AGF tomorrow AM. That will be 4 x weeks of 30 miles which is a platform for 16 weeks training plan....
I doubt I will be on here much over the next day or two....So ..." I wish you a merry Christmas "
You'll be popular over the hols kaz! They'll be hoping that the weather is nice so you get out.
10 miles for me last night - nice to be out but legs felt heavy all the way round. Then home to make celeraic soup and sticky date pudding with butterscotch sauce - finished the cooking by 11pm.
10.67 miles averaging 11:03mm. I can't believe I did a long run in a t-shirt in December, last year it was a case of wearing offroad shoes for pavement running/sliding!
Roll on 5pm finished then till 27th Dec, great running by everyone, this time last year it was -18 here, tropical this morning and did just over 8 miles in shorts. Plan is my hill tomorrow, 10 on Christmas day, 20 on Boxing day. Only 5lbs heavier now that when I was in my 20's
NP- solid plan, my man! Enjoy the break No running allowed for me on Xmas Day, so I'm hoping to fit 2 in tomorrow- not sure it's going to be possible, but we'll see
Bridget- well done on the run and the t shirt!
Fiona- good running and food sounds great- I LOVE celeriac
AGF- solid running and enjoy the parkrun
kaz- well done on the running- and getting the kids up
Gobi- shouldn't it be a mince pie instead of a Crunchie this Friday?
Good day for me today- Xmas shopping finished, chocolate fondant log made and stage 1 of trifle complete. 17.10m run at 7.45 av. Glass of wine in my hand now
1.28 chalked up for me today. My hip was really stiff but it's been a couple of weeks since I've ran so hopefully it will be easier for tomorrow's run.
Nice 12 NP. My 16 turned into 17.4 but a lot easier that Thursday's 10, still blowing a gale. Also did 6 miles last night. Planning a nice easy run tomorrow morning.
I like the way you're thinking Spoons!
Good luck everyone in gettting organised and have a great Christmas. Off for some cerleriac soup - I'd trade you the soup for the trifle jason! My favourite dessert.
Think I'll b ok tomorrow, on my own with kidz now so I can sneak in a tm session once they've opened Santa pressies!!!!
Dinner all set I think...... The main items turkey and lots of veg, plus wine for me!!!! No puffs or starter...... And I'll be wearing my (just gotten into today) size 6 jeans to keep me on the straight and narrow!!!!
Merry Christmas Everyone. Hope you all have a lovely day. X

Kaz,
Well done. I'm not going to put up any mileage totals until I've done the very last run of the year.
Great mileage kaz.
Blimey jason, 5 miles was bad enough! Ice all gone now and really mild here.
NP impressive on the TM although once I get going it's never too bad.
Loads to do last night so no run but all organised now so out tonight.
And from now on the days just get longer!
