It's raining here too. I have a race tomorrow, the Bracknell Half, and the weather is forecast to be atrocious. Heavy rain and high winds. Oh well, will just have to man up. And lube up. Chafing is always an issue. I speak from experience <yowch>.
Despite a jug (fnar) of sangria last night I have not one scrap of a hangover. Maybe its magic non-hangover type sangria? Off to buy a breadmaker in a bit when I've scrubbed myself clean. And maybe new clothes that actually fit me. Possibly. This afternoon will be spent making chilli, maybe a cake, definitely some bread and sewing while watching a dvd. BLISS.
Took my hangover out for a 10 mile run in the rain. Then had an extra long shower combining washing myself with cleaning the shower tray at the same time, I do love the smell of Flash with bleach.
I used to have a breadmaker. I donated it to Mother of Muttley because I wasn't eating the bread quickly enough (it goes stale a lot faster than shop bread). I had the Panasonic and it was fab.
However, I am now back on shift work and needing to make loads of sarnies so maybe it's time to buy another Panny.
Mima - another vote for the panasonic here...I make bread by hand now, but over the last 12 years or so I've either made bread by hand or with a breadmaker. The Panasonic is a little more expensive, but outlives the other major brands, and makes better bread. Get the one without the nut dispenser though....you won't need that, and it's just a gimmick.
I've made a coffee chocolate cake this morning to take to a friend's house for a nice afternoon of tea and cake.
Just had a cracking run against some black rain clouds! They were closing in so had to up the pace over the last 3 miles to make it back dry. Now in the bath its hammering against the window! Me-1 British weather-0 !! Looking forward to a relaxing night in, a glass of red and clean bed linen! Call me sad...
Il settle for the wine and an early night! Not really a termanator fan.... One film I love is The Game. A Michael Douglas classic. A few years old now but truly awesome.
Oh you lot are blimmin lovely! The scrub was an overexaggeration - a gentle clean with the body buff was more accurate.
Ended up coming home earlier than planned with none of the clothes I needed to buy thanks to feeling a bit but I did get the breadmaker from Lakeland and it is brilliant. Made a loaf this afternoon once the pukey feeling went away...its this one - perfect for one duck and occasionally 2 if the duck is joined for breakfast.
Ooh terminator! Sounds like a good filum to watch while sewing.
I'm on shop-bought bread at the moment as my BM is in for repair. Actually, they've said that it can't be repaired and I'm getting a new one. Yay! Really pleased with Kenwood as it's about 7 months out of warranty but they've said that it will be covered anyway.
Mine's the Kenwood BM450 and it's fabulous and I'm saying that despite it being broken. On MSE, there were people who loved the Panasonic and people who loved the Kenwood. Someone who owned both recommended the Kenwood out of the two.

Some informative reading for you, duckie.
I have a breadmaker but haven't used it in a while. I even made my own naan dough with it a few times.
mima sounds like a lovely afternoon.
This windy rain is getting very tiresome.
Hope everyone has a suitably humdrum weekend
I've made a coffee chocolate cake this morning to take to a friend's house for a nice afternoon of tea and cake.
Enjoy your Saturdays!

Am I allowed to crack my slightly rude breadmaking gag? Please? Please?
<bounce bounce bounce>
Why did the baker have smelly hands?
Because he kneaded a poo!
*groan*
Actually that gif is rather good

How humdrum am I, talking about breadmakers?
