Sounds haaaard . But on the plus side .. with it being Lanzarote there is a good chance of finding a bar that stays open late enough for even me to get around the course and still get a beer .. hmmm
Slagiatt, id say its no harder than Wales overall, though the head and repuation for high winds can add another dimension. All Ironman races are hard in different ways.
Worth reading OC's report for a comparison to Holgs.
nope and I notice it says "1300hrs (1200 local)" whatever that means. It's 1200 in Lanza and here!
Could mean 13.00 here?
I'll have another look later, its not like Florida where its going to fill up in 4 minutes, we should have a number of weeks, perhaps a few months before it fills up.
I am really excited and impatient so I just entered - only be to be contacted by them to say I just tested their website for them and it's not a real entry!!!

Likes you're thinking Slagiatt!! And no doubt it'll have slice of lime stuffed in it - Vit C to aid recovery!!

Hard doesn't scare me. Down hill does!! But your insight on the bar is a good perspective!
When I did it in 2007 it was quite surreal walking down to tranition on race morning passing clubbers on their way home.
Hmm cant see that registration has opened yet?

The web page has just crashed - this can only be a good sign - hamsters spinning on wheels behind the internet!?
