You've never needed tickets to get into the beer tent in the past. It's a charity fun do, and anyone who is willing to spend money there is welcome.
I was doing 1:30 HM, and got 1:46 here to beat the train narrowly.
I think that I shall have to plan how to go next year. It will involve a running buddy, a family helper, and an initial camping outing for my (now 7y/o) offspring. Hmmm.
This year's timetable says: "Evening prize presentation & social by tickets only. 7.00 pm until 11.00pm. Prize presentations at approximately 8.00pm." but you've encouraged me and team mates to turn up anyway, prizes or no prizes.
You must be an ace on multi-terrain. With 1:32 HM I still have to break 2 hours in RTT. Maybe this year?
If my memory is correct, they upgraded the medals last year and it was indeed very nice (silver on a white ribbon so not sure which room it will go in) and you get a T Shirt.
Seems a little more sensible than mine HTA but then again, I wont really be racing this. Just enjoying it for the something different that it is (until mile 12, where I will prob start to cry cos I can't do it) and treat it as a training run for Bristol half. Will try and make sure I'm not too near the back though as I can't run the risk that they'll run out of chunks of metal at that finish line!
Hi everyone, Just read the thread as just come back from hols(no training)(apart from hydration training!!)Recieved pack last week and I'm so glad people are having trouble getting their heads around the organisation of the event. Our club Sleaford Striders will be coming en masse and staying in the campsite in the village. I'm doing 10k and realise now that I need to change voucher for train ticket but my hubbie is doing full and was wondering where his start is and does he need to get the train?? Sorry to bombard with questions.
Read the course description for 10k.Says running through shoulder height brambles.Help I'm only 5 foot, hope I can see which way to run!!!!!
Titch. The start of the main race is on the bridge by the trian station and near the finish field, so he will not need to catch any train, apart from the one he is chasing after!! I've run the race 3 times and can't remember any brambles of that nature, but I'm normally hallucinating during the 2nd half of the race so they may actually exist.
Just re read website re presentation night etc. It does say by invitation only and that we had to indicate how many tickets required when entering. I can t remember seeing this on the on line form as I'm sure I would ve asked for tickets for the family.Did anyone see anything?.Do you know if we can sort tickets out on Friday?
i am number 36 and will be wearing a ellesmere port running vest, heading down tomorrow morning, see you all their, me thinks it will be a little muddy.
webrunner it says events start at 11:35 & 11:45, with trains taking to start postions at 9:45 onwards which i presume means the 10k. i hope that helps and not to late.

Shall definitely not run on Saturday.
I race 30 miles on Sunday.
I'd rather be in Tywyn.
Balls.
It cant be a s wet as it was last year - surely.
By the way, I've done a rough MapMyRun of the route:
http://www.mapmyrun.com/run/united-kingdom/tywyn/738869971
Multimap.com has much clearer definition in Hybrid mode if you want to look at the topography (start at postcode LL36 9EY).
The 0.75 mile shortage is no doubt because I've left out a lot of twists and turns.
caz - i have to find you to say hello from welsh alex!
Hope the weather man has got it wronge for Saturday.
Havea great race all :-)
