DV love that photo and from that angle it seems that you won image

Emmy - are you doing doing the triathlon in Barcelona or the Marathon? When is the marathon? If its Spring I may consider it if (when) I get rejected again by VLM

Hi Orbutt - Just the Marathon! image It's March 16/17th next year

  • Emmy, it's the triathlon in October that I have signed up for. But might be tempted by the marathon in spring too. We will see..
  • Orbutt - it's the mara and it's on 23rd March next year.  I'm on for that one.  None of this swimming nonsense....

  • By co incidence, this morning's mail including bumff about a gluten-free eatery....   http://www.60by80.com/paris/restaurants-brunch/cafe-pinson.html

just booked a hotel about 60 metres from Arc de'trimphe. (had free cancellation on that other one in Place de Clichy) - so i'll be walking there at 7.55

Nicely done TJB.  Where are you staying?

  • Brian, I've emailed you but it's got an attachment and might go straight to spam..image

  • Yes... I meant 23rd March *cough*

  • 'just had an email from the organisers. There will be a ' Paris 2013' app on the website at the beginning of April. * The old one doesn't work cos, err, it's the old one...image *

  • ATM - What does the app do? If I tell friends and family will they be able to track me or is it a service you have to pay for?

  • It's for tracking , Trev. I don't know if you have to pay for it or not. My guess would be  that you do. * They used to do free SMS to a couple of numbers frome each of the time mats. That was free. * Last year's was available through itunes and on googleplay.  Did anyone use it/buy it in 2012? Price?

  • ATM - last year the app was free. It updated every time we passed over a timing mat, which was roughly every 5k.
  • Thanks Orbutt, sounds promising. Hope it's the same again this year.
  • Thanks, Orbutt. That would be good...image

only if i get the app, i dont have an i-phone, i'm Andriod die hardimage

  • There's an Android version, TJB.image

  • er well i er probably maybe er m'kimage

  • Dont think you can get out of it that easily TJB, I'm assuming PC can just put in your race number.
  • you won't need an app to know where i am - just listen out for the foul language

  • Only joking, it will depress me seeing that The Jimbob has finished and I've still got 10k still to go.
  • The madness is really setting in...........how many pages today????image

Its blowing a gale here......again.........along with hail the size o golf balls. 22 miles on the treadmill on Sunday if the wind doesn't b****r off before...........you can hardly stand up ootside! image

Cracked bone in Juniors wrist, but one that doesn't require imbolising......which is good I think...........image

  • TJB -I think I know where that is - sort of runs parallel to Avenue Foch.  Big Boulevard and (if it's the road I'm thinking of) has quite a big running shop on it.
