Orbutt - I'm not doing this in your honour, I'm stealing your idea image.  Also I can't do a P-bot. I want to do the actions of 'I Love You' to my wife and my daughter but I'm worried that people on next year's thread will think there is someone between us.image

Hey DV - how about reporting the link to the 12 days of Xmas.
That way, we can remind ourselves that we are not only mad in tapir time.
Also, I can giggle like a schoolboy at Mrs DV singing "Four King" image

Here..  for your entertainment is the xmas video..

Not sure if you've seen this - but the Paris Marathon people posted a superb pic as part of their 10 day countdown.

Couldn't insert it but here is the link

I've used it as my cover photo on FB page - fab.....

Your medical certificate: you will need to furnish it when yougo to pick up your number.

Now how to furnish a medical certificate?!

I'd say minimally and tastefully.  Think more Jasper Conran than Laura Ashley.

Could you post the up to date runners list so that we can check we've got everyone.

That way we can make sure we all appear in the greatest hits vid image

They're not arm warmers.  They're handless satin opera gloves.  In Paris I team them with my black Givenchy evening dress and cigarette holder, for the full on Audrey Hepburn look.

EE3 - take a look at this.  If you like, I can get it and bring it with me. If I give it to you at Pasta Papa's there will still be plenty time ot install it.  Pretty cheap.

Thanks for the offer Danni - I'll organise a delivery to France but it won't arrive before the marathon.  My husband is determind that he can glue my strap sufficiently...If it falls off mid-race I may well divorce him!  image

EE - do you want me to find my velcro one and bring it along?

Been out and done what I had to, it's 18 out there  phew...!

Cup of tea and a biscuit - well deserved me thinks.  Wish I had hot cross buns....

Onetit - kind offer thanks.  I've got the velco one too but it is missing one of its attachments.  Simon is convinced that the original rubber one is able to be glued.  He's off out to buy some a*se kicking super-glue and after the marathon I'll order a new one via Amazon.

EE3 - I've got a velcro one. I'm south of Panam if it's urgent but I think Dannirr offer is the best.

Hope Londoners had a nice run, mine is planned for 6pm, after food!

Paranoia setting in.........started to rethink using cashline and have now ordered travel money instead.......

Totally understand the paranoia. Had a worry about my Euros earlier, worried that they won't accept my medical certificate (does it need a doctor's stamp? Mine doesn't have one, just headed paper) and current anxiety maker is that my plane will be delayed and the Expo shut by the time I get there.... Oh well may just have to cheer you all on!

Hi Stan.  My crystal ball isn't sure about your plane but you will need a doctor's stamp on your medical certificate for sure.

finished final physio for achilles last night. Just run 4M pain free. woooohoooo My first run for 19 days after damaging myself on a 21M trail! (The Grizzly, Devon) Im ecstatic! Now the hard bit. How much to run between now and the flight out on Thurs? I'm thinking 6M on Sunday. 3-4 on Weds and 3 more 1 hour spinning classes slotted in between. Thoughts....

    DV,

I'm 32645 to add to the list, although in reality it's going to be more like pinkish time and not purplish for sure.

I have had my marathon hair cut. I've shaved my head (significantly aided by nature)............. It's aerodynamic image

DV - Im 27547 and Violet but changing to the 4hr pen as def not going to hit the 3h45.

Went for a 13miler today and feel better for going out but my right knee is def giving me jip, just hoping it calms by next Sunday. Can i get added to the phone number list - who do i need to send it to?? I lose track as this forum moves so quickly.

Have to thank you all for your invaluable advice though and lists, with the maps etc.

Im going to Paris on Sat morning so if anyone has forgotten anything, then do inbox me as I can bring it as im prob one of the last to go, leaving from London at 10am.

I also own an ample amount of gel belts/arm things that i rarely use so if people forget i can just bring them with.

The reminder re everything being closed on Sunday and the lack of kettles in hotels are my 2 fave reminders - thanks people!!!

Hope everyone stays as calm as poss.
