Sorry for being unsociable and not meeting more of you.
Well done everyone, some good results considering the weather - was it just me or was the wind in out faces in both directions?!?!
I had a good run and managed to get 13th place in 2:59:09 - a minute or 2 slower than I'd hoped for but can't complain. Does anyone have any pics of me (116)?
The Count ..... phone me 07904 229 381 with your email address and I'll forward your pictures from Rannoch Moor and the Clahaig Inn taken during our Saturday cycle. My RW email address is at home and Im not allowed to insert my new work address.
Straight ahead as you entered the tent field ..... Green Sharan grey top box and bicycle built for two on top. I believe you were nearby over a wooden fence.
Recovery - thinking of going to a gym for shot on the treadmill and other stuff ..not been there before but I feel ok cept I pulled off 2 toenails damaged doing FLM and Im going to lose big toe nail from Lochaber very soon.
I had huge blood blisters under and around each nail of the toes next to my big toes.
I had to burst them on Monday night as the pain was getting too much - not a pretty sight. Apart from that the only warwounds I have are one or two wee chaffed areas here and there.
My feet are trashed as well, I think I need new trainers. And to make matters worse, my back trouble is creeping back....but I think I will ignore it and run tonight regardless.
I'm not running 'till atleast Saturday as I want to give my body a proper rest - besides a run before then would more than likely hasten the removal of forementioned toenails.
Well done to all in that terrific heat, at mile 20 I couldn't take the heat anymore...so got out of the kitchen! but thanks to all those who gave me great encouragement along the way
It was great to meet people and be able to put faces to names!
Hilary thanks for the manning of the special drinks station, and please thank the children, they were great ;-)
Sue, sorry to hear about your club mate
Oooh Debbo, will you be cycling there next year then.......?!!
Just had a lovely 4 mile recovery run round the cliffs. My legs felt ok-ish & the back held out. I think I'm going to lose my big toe nail as well though!
I'm sorry to hear you had to pull out Debbo, but its best to be sensible, there is always another day. Nice to meet you MrsMac, i liked the way you had the strength to pull away in the last couple of miles. I've about recovered now, played football last night but did'nt stay the distance ended up in goal, the legs had, had it !!!
Just been out for 3 miles and the legs felt dead. Felt like someone had punctured my shoes if that makes sense to anyone. Apart from that recovering well.
hi ive not been on here often but i read your stories well done to everyone who took part it was rather hot but i will do it again next year i see it is on the same day as london 23rd april

My thanks also to all at the drinks stations - really great job.
Have already signed the mrs & myself up for next year - can't wait (will probably also do the half in November).

Tattie
I had some good ones on Sunday and now they have been replaced by these wobbly ones which don't seem to work properly.
I did not spot your tandem. Where about on the camp site were you?
We were the little encampment with the white puppy and the growly collie.

Due to a blister taking over my right heal I'm laying off the running for a few days...
Managed some swimming and cycling so far...
Gorgeous blood blister on my left centre toe. My four year old had to watch me burst it. Yummy!

My monitor said I used up 3303 calories. I also have the permanent munchies. Even eating stuff I don't like. Weird!
