Anyone who wants to take a look at www.joelee.co.uk/cgi-local/raceresults.cgi?event=../2003/sthend10k/sthend10k.html
results of southend 10k i was 1402nd out of 1552 finishers in an official time of 1:01:24, so it took me 74 seconds to get to start line and the winner was 15 can you believe that.
Pammie that was a slow start must have made it very difficult at the beginning, I think we were over the line in about 20 seconds and that seemed busy enough!
JJ I am quite achey, even my stomache and arms are protesting slightly!
15M Spud! 13.2 Hipps. Gawks! SO pleased for you both, Maggie and Pammie. Neither race sounded very easy and you did superb times. Missing the km markers is a bummer, Pammie. It will have affected your final time considerably. DON'T DO IT AGAIN!
Hey BF. I don't wear my Reject T-shirt other than inside out so that it can't be read. I find it embarassing. Like I was rejected because I was useless. On second thoughts..... But I do agree about running in the winter. Much nicer. I have marvelled at you lot out there this summer whizzing about the place. Far too hot. Lovely now - if it wasn't for this s***ing cold.
I did my usual fortnightly training session for the pony club tetrathletes last evening. The first group ran 3,000m and the second group 1,500m. Guess what. I ran with them and felt no pain at all from my calf.
I'll give it a day or 2 to settle down again and then try a proper run later in the week. I'm quite excited about it.
Morning all too, this is just to say hi, I frustratingly do not have time to read how everybody did in races right now, and respond. Arrived home late last evening. Bogged down already! with post etc etc. I will make time this afternoon to catch up with you all, that is very important to me.
