I have just entered this (mad moment of new year enthusiasm). I thought it would make a nice change from FLM. Also a speedy friend from my running club has kindly offered to pace me to a sub-4. Ooh the pressure...

Maddy: Yeah, I know. That's the plan anyhow. It was preferable to Lochaber - I really enjoyed last year's race but this year, I couldn't envisage doing the drive and spending all weekend in Scotland. Plus, I need hill training so if there are a few bumps... ah well..

Hippo: Ssssshh. That's next year's goal!

Back at work today (hence being up at silly o'clock). No 'net access for me at work still so I'll check in later. 5 miles out there before work though... {polishes halo}

Well I've just signed up for my first marathon. The training plan has been printed out, stuck on the wall and am I seriously considering paying someone to run it for me.

I'm really quite scared.

FLM reject here, looking for a flat one to attempt GFA 3.45 looking for some 'softish under foot as bad knees due to old age! Could the cat litter be the ans? better than the cobble stones or uneven camber. Annie
