3:16:59 run in Chicago 2005. Then I got pregnant a month later and it all went downhill from there.
I got my 10k and a half marathon pb's recently so would have loved to add a marathon pb to my achievements but I'll be happy with around 3:20 as a sign I'm getting back to my 30something times now that I'm 40
Camel filming and our parkrun first birthday was awesome- so much fun and totes emosh- I shed a little tear as we were giving the awards out- i'm sure I'll be crying a whole lot more tomorrow. Still on our way up to Manchester- it's really far away!!!
First I must apologise but for technical reasons I can't put your names in bold. Just doesn't seem to let me do if on the iPhone
Steve - many thanks indeed! I missed your comment in a cross post. I pressed send last night just before hitting the sack
Mr P - ha ha, shhh!
Actually the mini bar is coming in very handy for storing my milk, orange juice and milkshakes!
DS2 - cheers. Weather has been glorious today but thankfully it's going to cloud over tomorrow. Chance of rain later but not until early evening. Whisper it but it *could* just be perfect
Your plan sounds very good. Hope the 5 went well and enjoy the 12 tomorrow.
Yep, Steve took us on a little 2 mile jogette. Feel the better for it.
nattynatster - there you are! Really sorry to hear you had problems with your training. What was it, an injury, loss of motivation or just plain busy?
Anyway good to hear you're getting back into it.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Not long to go now until the final challenge
Dotty - of course I remember you! Thanks for dropping in, I really appreciate it!
I've heard about Bois De Boulogne. Seems like the equivalent of the Docklands section in London albeit with quite different scenery
I will be thinking if you all whenever I am struggling for sure!
reikirabbit - we were talking about you last night...in a good way of course! Sam says hello - she was very complementary about you. Clearly you left a very good impression.
Angela - so pleased your anniversary parkrun went well!
Hope you get to Manchester soon. Have a brilliant race tomorrow. You are in such great form and deserve to run a blinder!
Bois de Bologne isn't that bad. Not that many spectators, but just think that when you get out of it you will quite literally be at the finish on Avenue Foch.
Well done Malcs, you must have really felt the pressure was on when you went through half-way. You should be very proud breaking 3:30 with such a strong 2nd half!
Brilliant Malcs really we'll done. I ended up with a 3:37, bit disappointed as I fell away badly in the closing stages but it's a PB by 9 mins and I guess it's another step towards sub 3:30 rather than the final one.
You can't hide from your emotions and I'm glad that I mostly feel proud, enjoy the celebrations it was a pleasure to run with you
Cheers Chick, only a wee bit disappointed as I lost 3-4 mins so late on, but overall pretty happy, steps in the right direction. Now to get on the sauce
Well done Malcs! You did it!!???? Sorry I didn't see you - people kept coming in waves and it was hard to see people even in a bright yellow shirt! Now celebrate!

That RTP has my best 3:50+, my average 3:55:07 - would be nice, from a half 1:51:27
My Garmin needs to say 8:50 average pace to get sub 4 @ London I've found
So excited for tomorrow now, am recording you all to watch when I get back from 10K fundraiser in the park jog

Just worked out I can catch the first couple of hours from Paris before I need to duck out in the morning.
The Isle of Dogs was OK last year because I was strong. It used to be a nightmare, BdeB will be no problem for you.
So allez en!
Best of luck for tomorrow....go smash your old PB and enjoy
Woot! Well done Malcs Nice
Fantastic!! Il be back soon for the report!
Mega bucket list tick! Well done Malcs!
Brilliant,.
FANTASTIC

Trigg: sorry to hear you are a bit disappointed but 9 mins is massive!! Next one then. FWIW: I went from 3:38 to 3:29
Great run Malcs, enjoy the celebrations and cake!

oh phew, Malcs. Had me a bit afraid with those 40 seconds at half way but then saw you lit the boosters
Very well done Malcs. Go on son
3:32:12 for me. First half and 23 miles bang on coach Steve's plan but some unexpected calf and hammy twinges persuaded me to play it safe.
Still I managed not to hit the wall on a first marathon and I know I didn't have anything else in the tank so I really can't complain
Well done Malcs! You did it!!???? Sorry I didn't see you - people kept coming in waves and it was hard to see people even in a bright yellow shirt! Now celebrate!
Malcs - Well done on your new Pb . Any news on Angela in Manchester?
