Dubai... Thanks. Kathmandu sounds/looks like some experience! Thanks for the pics.(Not on my wish-list at the moment.) Harmander... Thanks. Like the 100 marathons (distance) You're almost there. JD1... Thanks. Cal... Thanks. Well done on the 20' to take you over 1900'. An unremarkable 5' yesterday, but went out more relaxed today, for a comfortable 14'. YTD: 1391'.
You'll do it I'm sure! 9 miles recovery with a few strides in the last mile. Went out so early that fog came down and frost started to form during my run.
My highest year so far. Thanks for the support, comments, shared stories and general motivation. I'm sure my involvement in this thread has helped my running. Although it's some what removed, people appear to be interested in my running, an unusual experience. Thank you.
Highest for me too, Donnie. No running today - did walk just over 5 miles though, to see the new Star Wars movie. Figured I needed to move a bit before sitting on my arse for a few hours.
Final notes for 2019! Dubai...Thanks. Guess you are already in 2020! Out this morning for one of my favourite routes; a 6' loop x 2 (12'). My slow running is getting better! Not sure about Bournemouth parkrun tomorrow morning; expect it will be crowded. Poole put on the Christmas Day parkrun and got 1345 runners. Then on the Saturday they got 900 (ten were 17 mins or under and 77 were 20mins or under, but it's not a race!) Happy New Year to All, and thanks for all the support through 2019. YTD:1403
David Churman and Little Nell, stalwarts of the early part of the thread, much missed in the later months. Would love to know how the year ended for you both. Hope we have a similar thread for 2020 and hopefully you'll drop by.
Same applies to Stephen Morrison and Andrew. See you on the 2020 thread?
Totally agree with the cheer to old friends and new. With less than 20 minutes to go I thought I ought to post my year total after a measly 8.47 miles which were all I needed to get past the equivalent of 100 marathons distance - the total was 4,219, 733 m or 2622.02 miles
The good news for next year is we all have an extra day to get those miles in.
