slipped a little bit today but not gonna beat myself up about it-that would mae matters worse. Does hug me as i have overcome major stuff but this is such a bugger.
damn slippery addiction-ends up having my usual nicotine breakfast. Daft thing is -I cant stand them BUT gonna try again later today. Mind, who said it was gonna be a smooth ride?
Got a link from anotherr thread-really useful. Trpouble is I am the only one who replied - narrow minds eh?
I prefer the none NRT approaches but all stoppers are welcome here
what is scary is that deciding to stop becomes more a life and death issue the longer you postpone it. It really is for me right now. What do you turn to when scared?
Hey Well done Hoose! I stopped almost 3 years ago and it's the very best thing I have ever done. I loathe smoking now, I can't even see why anyone would want to!
still on em but notsa many. Thought having COPD would feel worse than this. I can wal miles and still run as my success so far shows. It aint an excuse to carry on the fags ut spose knowing I aint that bad dont help things. e daft to wait til proper poorly I guess.
It has worked for many of my friends including one who smoked 60-a-day. I can thoroughly recommend this method and as it says it really is the easy way.
The trouble with trying to give something up is that the more you want something and can't have it, the harder it becomes and it is a battle of will power. This method does not rely on will power alone, which takes a lot of the pain away.
Something that also helped me was that I took a £10k loan out, bought a car and did my bathroom. The repayments where about what I spent on fags per month so gave me great satisfaction.
I forgot to mention that the Allen Carr people offered (don't know if they still do?) a complete refund if it didn't work! They were so confident in their system, all you had to do was go back for refresher (free) sessions and if it still didn't work you got your money back!
done all the back ups and money back. Too late now and cant afford to do it again at the mo. Something in me resisting somewhere. Addiction can be crazy as i hate the taste and smell, risk probs with COPD in future but still do it

onwards and upwards though.
I gave up smoking several years ago by attending an Alan Carr's Easyway half-day clinic.

thanks David -have done 4 Allen Carr clinics and did stop for over 3 months. Best method I have tried though.
Something that also helped me was that I took a £10k loan out, bought a car and did my bathroom. The repayments where about what I spent on fags per month so gave me great satisfaction.

Did you get a refund Cin? Give it another go.
maybbe an excuse but they have had a good few hundred quid outa me. There is a 3 month rule or the like to go for the freebie now.
Dont get me wrong, I am a big fan because they stopped me for 3 months and i found it easy.
sokay David I am trying a stop this evening. I have all the info and know easyway inside and out. It is keeping that frame of mind.
thanks anyway, really.
