It amazes me how quickly the time comes to get the entry in for yet another Liversedge Half.If your training for a spring marathon this is the one for you.Friendly club with a nice start from the common, testing hills but great support at the end.Lovely community centre serving sandwiches and local running shop stall there.Nice awards ceremony.A definatel must half. This is the 5th time for me and my local race.....Interested??

ET there is a kids playground near the end in the village it starts and ends in. Are you thinking about taking the mini's? Is you are there is a posh indoor play area for littleones I saw it in the route but no idea whats it's called. Good half for doing but a bit nice and hilly.
It's only my 2nd half marathon leading up to London Marathon and likely to be doing 2:15 but don't want to be home after the bunting has been taken down!
Hi Guys,
The race is filling up nicely now. Looks as though we are going to have to put the Race Full signs out again.
Will I be okay for Weds to deliver my forms,ES?I am just waiting on a Pudsey Pacer to let me have is form.
Dont forget to contact my work for the free drinks.
Dave.
Looks like a good one!, I might try & make it my first 'half' since mid 2009, but it appears that I'll have to be quick, but I'll have to consult the 'Fell Runners Association' calendar first to see what's happening there
Okay, that's still my only one (on the road anyway)
Regarding the beck at Brighouse, I can't remember, is there a bridge there
Ahh, yes there is - see 2nd entry.... (plus my own comments about Bingley & 'Beckfoot', just above it

Im running the Brass Monkey in Jan,then LHM followed by the Blackpool half a fortnight later then the Blackpool marathon on the same day as the Spen 20.Big decision to run Blackpool rather than Spen but hope to do at least 3 marathons in 2012.Also looking at Sunderland marathon in May and Liverpool in october.
Is the Freckleton half worth running in June I believe this half is a pb potential?Any thoughts?
how you doing Cake, are you doing this again next year?
im tempted again
im good and just entered too
wasnt in the best of health this year for it so gonna try and beat my time even with the hills
Hills glorious hills did you say?!?!
Best get signed up then
Signed up for this a while ago. Looking forward to doing it.
If you normally run around an 8min mile pace, what sort of time would be good for this.... 2hrs?
